Played at the Fixxion Warehouse in Wolverhampton again. Made sure I turned my amp up as did our guitarist (see my previous post as to why). Gig didn't start very well for me as I took my main bass out of the case and noticed the A string was loose. Thinking it had just taken a knock I tried to tighten it but it kept slipping. Decided it would be easier to just grab my backup and wing it. Soon realised that I hadn't played half the set on this bass (usually play a 5 string and my back up is a 4 string) But we all played really well for our third gig made some new fans

I think I'm decent. I've seen much better and I've seen much worse. I'm able to keep up with a very talented guitarist and I do get people compliment my playing after gigs. I know I could be better with more practice

I'm thinking about upgrading the pickups in my old Tanglewood Warrior III. I am thinking of putting an Entwistle 'JBX' in the neck but not sure what to place in the bridge (humbucker). I don't have a massive budget. Cheers in advance

For me I put the 15 on top as my 2x10 is bigger and it's more stable this way. I have had it the other way and sonically I really couldn't tell the difference

Mine used to when I started in this band but I now warm up and stretch before every gig and most practices

First proper gig with the new line up. Worst on stage sound I've ever had! All I could hear was drums and vocals. Asked many times for more gtr and bass but ended up with less?!?! Also ran thru the worst sounding cab (some mark bass crap) Cab was actually really nice. Thanks to Muzz again for letting me use it

Octave (a million different pedals to choose from) Chorus Wah?

You could add another dirt pedal. Kick it in during heavier parts. Other than that a chorus or an octave pedal

Payday Friday and I have a bit of free time so I think I'm gonna try and make this. It just seems to easy. Am I missing something?

Played our first gig with our new singer on Saturday for our drummers dad's 50th birthday. Was my first time using my full set up, all went fine apart from my lead going from my pedals to my amp getting coming loose and I kept having to jump on stage to plug it back in (not sure why it was doing it either) I also managed to break the input jack on my ashdown 2x10 on the way home. Quick easy fix tho.

Umm.... What is it? Is it good for metal?

On several occasions whilst using other people's cabs and my own amp I've forgotten to connect the two. Last practice I set up my pedals. Tuned up and no sound... Forgot to connect my pedals to my amp
