Took it to practice tonight and I'm very happy with the sound. I kept the main eq pretty much flat and didn't engage the 9 band eq section (I have an eq pedal on my board).
Everything sounded way more clear. I play in a hard rock band so I often find I can't hear my effects too much but with this amp I could.
For the money it's definitely worth it.
Also heavy as f*** so I need to work out more

Would this do 800W into 2 Ohms? Or is that lateral thinking just bad thinking?
[/quote]
It's rated down to 4 ohms so wouldn't recommend running it lower
Took delivery of the amp today.
Damn it's big and heavy.
Plugged it into my Peavey 1x15 using a Yamaha with Entwistle pups.
For obvious reasons I can't really have it loud but at home volumes the sound is pretty decent.
Very easy to dial in a usable tone. Plenty of punch if wanted.
A more in depth review once I get it into practice
Well as my Ashdown has died for the 2nd time in the past few years I thought I'd get something cheap for now. Comes with a three year warranty so if anything does happen at least it's covered
Managed to sell some unwanted things for a bit more than I was expecting so I decided to get myself one. Should be here early in the week. Will write up a small review when I get chance
It's definitely the amp. Friend brought over his Behringer head and it sounds fine. Gonna call Ashdown Monday and speak to them about getting the amp serviced
I was initially thinking it might be the speaker so I set up my other rig and it's the same. Not as prominent on my old rig but I put that down to the new cab being louder/bigger?
My Ashdown EB 180H seems to be having a few problems. I have been keeping it at our lock up as I'm too lazy to carry it home but recently purchased a new cab and wanted to check it out so I brought the amp home to discover its rather distorted. I've tried a few different basses and my old rig to make sure it wasn't the cab.
I've changed leads and even changed the kettle lead. Not sure if it's something to do with old house wiring or if it's the amp.
Do have practice next week so I can check it out then but just some advice in the meantime would be nice
I acquired a left handed yamaha rbx260 as I just wanted the neck so I've decided to sell the body. Includes the pickups and is fully working.

I think the white T works, it makes the smile look like you are enjoying it

The smile was from our drummer dropping a stick and trying to catch it midair

Astonishingly, this is so far the closest to Warwick Basschat band on offer over the Easter weekend.

Does that mean you'll be there?
I do find I tend to be the last to get complemented. We have an amazing guitarist, a very talented female drummer and our singer is brilliant.
Tends to be fellow bassists
