1. Tbh at that price I'd be tempted if I didn't already have a full rig and a massive gas for pedals. Is most likely a loose wire which is a simple fix (I would think)
2. That's a great price for that rig. I use an Ashdown 2x10 myself and I love it. Just out of interest doing you know why the VU meter isn't working?
3. I don't think there is a right or wrong way. Just play around with the order and see what sounds better to your ears
4. I love chorus on bass. I used to use a boss CE 5(I think) and I currently use the digitech xbc. I find that as my guitarist doesn't use any effects other than his amps distortion when he plays something clean a bit of chorus just adds something extra
5.
Anyone tried the Dirty Donny edition of the Swollen Pickle? http://www.jimdunlop.com/product/dirty-donny-swollen-pickle It loses one of the internal controls but has the remaining internal controls now on the outside, plus the pedal is smaller. Anyone know what that missing control is and if it makes a difference to bass use?
From the looks of it it's this Voice sets the intensity of the external scoop control from light to heavy mid cut
6. I recently bought a swollen pickle (such an amazing name for a pedal) and I sometimes run my digitech xbd in front of it just to add something different. Might work with other high end pedals. If not just sell on the boss
7.
+1 to the endorsement of the lovely Matt. He sold me my TC Electronics combo. He was very helpful and happy to answer 'stupid' questions in a non-patronising way.
He sold a good friend of mine a tc combo as well and remembered us both when we popped in to have a look around.

Eq pedal

I'll check my funds come pay day and see what I can find for cheap
9. If you're in Brum you can't go wrong with just popping into PMT or Guitar guitar and just having a quick play with several different basses. If you go to PMT ask for Matt, he sold me my Schecter and he's really knowledgeable in all aspects of bass (he might be able to point you in the direction of a good tutor as well)
10. My band have a shared lock up and we try and practice at least once a week for as many hours as we can (usually 3). Most of it is spent just running thru our current set of songs and then we'll either jam and hopefully start a new song or we'll work on something that we've yet to finish.

Eq pedal

Would you put the eq pedal before or after the swollen pickle? I've seen a few behringer eq pedals for dirt cheap. They worth trying?

Eq pedal

Sorry if this has been asked a million times already. I have recently purchased a Way Huge Swollen Pickle and it kicks out some Brutal low end. I am finding that I have to cut the bass and low mids when using it but when I turn it off my bass sounds a bit thin. Would getting an eq pedal which I would switch on to suit my needs be a good idea? I'm not really looking at spending a great deal of money
13. If someone gave me that pedal I could find a space for it on my board but I don't think I would spend any cash on it
14. So after that mess I posted the other day my gf went and got me a pedal board for my bday. I've had to put the wah before the tuner as it's too big to fit in the board.
15. A few from the weekends festival
16. Having had time to have a play around I have tomorrow say I love it! I've kept my digitech on the board as it adds a little more umpf when needed!
17. I need a few more short patch cables to tidy everything up but this is my current configuration.
18. Price drop down to £80
19. Yeah so if I don't get on with it I'll be able to sell it on again for a nice profit
20. I went for the swollen pickle for the crazy price of £55. Currently on my way to practice so I'll have to let you know how it goes
21. I would love a tarkin pedal but they are currently out of my price range. I think I'll be saving up for one next year
22. Welcome and thank you for your kind words about my playing
