Anyone know where's the best place to buy DemonFX stuff in the UK? Affordaboard seem to have been very light on stock for a while.

They look amazing, don't they ?

Played The Beehive, Bow, London for the second time this year. There was a slight 'command performance' vibe as the singer's folks very visiting from Mexico and were in attendance. Bit of a strange vibe between the drummer and guitarist before the gig, but they've just started to share a house so maybe there's been some domestic strife going on behind the scenes Good gig, we all played well and more there than we expected, which was nice as the place was empty when we arrived. Slight gripe that our drummer needs to speed up his setting up as both in soundcheck and just before we started as he was fiddling for ages...slightly embarrassingly slow when we took the stage tbh. Hey ho. I got a couple of nice bass props from punters which was very nice as it's not often that happens. Yay ! Had a lovely time chatting to the singer's parents (via Mrs. Singer as shared language was an issue) after the gig before taking a slightly piddly Mrs. Pook home who brought a work buddy along and got quite into her cups over the evening No pics to hand, sadly.

That lack of forearm contour is going to chafe. You don't want chafing - nobody wants chafing. -
Changing Pots on a Semi - Any Tips or Hacks?
ahpook replied to Obrienp's topic in Repairs and Technical
Pretty sure when I did some work on my Starfire, which was years ago (bass now long gone), eveything went through the f-holes. Not sure about the tubing though....try Ebay or your preferred online retailer ? HTH -
Changing Pots on a Semi - Any Tips or Hacks?

I came across this stroke of genius - using what looks like surgical tubing to hold onto the pots, which makes swift work of getting them through the holes...wish I'd seen this before ! -

May I ask you think is lacking in the Nova Drive ? -
They probably fell out before they got on stage as to whether to put Countdown or the Bowls on in the Green Room and it all got a bit personal

Care to share ? Is it this ? http://yerasov.co.uk/index.html

Nothing wrong with a good offset. Looks fab 👍

Interesting. Where have you been buying them from ?

Yes, you'd think that there'd be some straightforward solution, but it does seem somewhat elusive.

I think that looks great, but then I prefer Fenders with scratchplates- I like the way they echo the curves of the body.

Really good night at a Supernova event at Poplar Union in London last night, we were one of four bands on, really nice vibe to the whole thing. The other bands were excellent and really friendly which made it a very cool evening. We gave really good account of ourselves and got a lot of positive comments from the crowd. The Ibanez EHB continues to wow me in terms of sound and playability - I'm really enjoying playing it, and my back loves me for it

Love the video ! Proper bass nod

If someone were to say it to me then I'd take it seriously and give it some thought. Am I messing up the basslines ? Is my memory fading and my forgetfulness tripping up the band ? Is there anything I can do to address the problems ? I'd certainly try to make it work, but also accept that they might be right. Telling someone else ? That wouldn't be easy - how I'd approach it would depend on the person really. A face-to-face chat done as gently and respectfully as possible. I'd hope it'd not come out of the blue for them and they'd be aware of the issues already. Whatever you say, it's not going to be a good thing to hear from a bandmate.

The dent I could live with, it being ex-demo, but not the control knob and the yellowing. Either way, it's up to you...you're not being fussy if it's not what you expected.
