4.
The old Starcaster from the late 70s was a great looking guitar - I've always wanted one.
plus the one. fabby looking bits of wood
5. now that's a proper use of a saturday evening ! good luck, can't wait to see the results
6. maybe a warwick ? if you're happy with your corvette...?
7.
It sounds nothing like a MM humbucker btw, if you were expecting that. Has its own unique voicing which I think is a good thing. Eg, if you want a MM tone, get a MM. If not, dont!
plus the one...i was surprised at how un-musicman it sounded. in a good way tho. the ability to switch between the single coil and 2-styles of humbucker really opens up the neck pickup.
8. i know i keep mentioning it, but the ehx memory man with hazarai is super cool !
9.
maybe just let this thread go back to Music Ian trying to sell his bass. Lovely looking stingray. Let him sell it at what ever price he wishes. good luck with the sale
well said, plus the one
10. very pretty - good luck with the sale !
11. i've got a 4-string $$...lovely bass. cuts through like butter and is a joy to play.
12.
Scroobius Pip Vs Dan Le Sac - Push The Button
good choice mano... cracking tunes.
13. i had the 150W version of this head for many many years - cracking sound and built like the proverbial brick latrine.

15. i always remember that one of the things that marked you a time-served directory enquiries operators was of you knew where the major companies were based, to speed up how quickly you found the number. some part of my brain goes... haynes ? sparkford, yeovil.
16. it sounds like steve hillage !!!!! i half expected the toothy noodler himself to start singing about fish, or ley lines. it's not a bad version in as much any re-doing of 'tomorrow never knows' is worthwhile...it's a popular cover, but imho always a bit like doing phillip glass on solo kazoo.
17. there's a venue in islington that i've played at with a few bands i've been in, and it's so close by tube that if i play there now, i soundcheck and pop home for tea, then go back and play the gig. very civilised.
18. 'it's my life' by talk talk yep - i like to keep 'em simple, cos simple i be.
19.
Guitard for someone who can fret w*** think they are brilliant, that everyone else comes second to the fact they are making a twat of themselves in front of everyone.
you know...i've never met a guitarist like that.
20. being damn handsome has always been a boon for me. actually i think the maturity to accept other people's ideas is a real boon - playing to the song and the band rather than showing off your skills
21. one thing - i do wish people would stop calling guitarists 'guitards' it's childish in the extreme.

23. just my penneth-worth... the only controls i use on my ampeg svp are the low boost and treble knob, which i turn down slightly. and viola...that's my sound.
24.
People see a bass, and they think it look like a guitar, and 4 strings = easier.
if people mention that i ask them if they think a violin is easier to play than a guitar as well.
25.
You can always spot the guitarist trying to play a bass - They always hook their thumb over the top of the neck, play with that slanty hand (shockingly bad technique!) & have no clue what their fourth finger is for!
hehehe...you're spot on, come to think of it.
