i thought it was a lot to do with the two trace elliot preshapes preshape one: a boost to the lows (50Hz) and highs (2-5kHz) and a slight cut in the middle (400Hz) preshape two: a more subtle boost in the mids and a broader boost in the lows.

can't you just remove the grille and replace it with one with the logo on ?

i think you've just been mighty unlucky for three bands to fold, but i'd keep at the originals - i think it's more fun in the long run.

the pickup you've got has two seperate coils that can be joined in series or parallel to give different sounds...first you need to decide if you want the coils in series or parallel, and the wire it up as per the diagram that stewart posted. (iirc parallel is normal for a musicman) so, first you'll need to wire up the 5 wires from the pickup to give your chosen sounds, and then you'll need to install a [url="http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=kill_switch"]"kill switch"[/url], which will turn it on and off.

i'm a librarian and read maybe 3 books a year... BUT i'd rather play bass than read, to my credit.

just got a pair of cables from obbm. what can i say ? superb cables, and superb service. i hope the playing at my next gig is as good as his cables rock on dave !
