6. what you suggeted would suit me fine, if need be id bypass it with a spare looper i have, let me know how to do it
7. have done and have tried the end pins on both sides of the switch appear to be soldered on both sides identically whilst the middle pins are only soldered on the back, with no trace on the other side, so im pretty damn sure that the end pins have been soldered on both sides for the extra security, no amount of sucking will suck that solder through hopefully aphex will get in touch, you would have think this would be sorted by now with so many complaints about the switch!
8. iv emailed aphex anyways, see how much a repair would set me back, i would quite like it to work
9.
just opened up my xciter, its only soldered on one side, the side that has easy access to it, the hardest part i can see is removing the internals from the chassis, getting the knobs back in place can be awkward. just a query, but if you werent confident about it why did you buy the pedal, knowing it was faulty, in the first place?
its soldered on both sides, i have the board out of the case in front of me and i dunno, i just felt like it was worth buying and seeing if i could do it
10. i dont like the idea of doin that, its very tight in there, circuit board is rammed
11. okay so i thought id give it a go at fixing one that i bought broke off the forum last week, but i think i dont have the skills! led lights, no signal, signal is fine through bypass, could this be the famous switch f*** up that these pedals suffer?? if so how would i go about replacing it? the switch appears to be soldered on to the board on both sides, and i cant see a way possible of me gettin it off

22.
Lakland covers the more classic Fender feel/sound - which can be tweaked a little bit to sound more modern - great B string sound Musicman is kind of the opposite in my opinion whist retaining the Fender feel - obviously, given its lineage (!)
if you mean by that to say the musicman's B string isnt that good, i totally disagree, my stingray has the best B iv ever played, althought admitdly not played a lakland, but certainly beats the fender us 5 string jazz i tried

Boss PS-3

i quite liked mine, the arpegiattor mode was pretty fun, and delay was good. but for accurate pitch shifting it sucked for bass

Bass Synth...

crowther prunes and custard will get you the hysteria sound close enough. Big muffs will not.
25. looks nice mate, just think you need a nice big bright orange or blue pedal in the middle to brighten it up a bit!
