well considering he used a sovtek big muff and a oc-2 on it i'm pretty sure it should do ;p i got pretty close with my octoplus and big muff
absolute bollocks im afraid. he did nothing of the sort. it was done with a human gear animato and deep impact and/or a Roland synth i cant think of the name at the moment.
5. bump, £10 collected, come on someone must need it
6.
Is there sposed to be a pic there Ant? Kubickiboy - I would make another layer ontop of your PSU and where the foam is, there's no need for another board! I would have bottom feeder, ODB-3, BM. I can't see the point in the DS-1, I remember it being very similar to the ODB-3 but without the EQ control? Maybe not.
there is? nice board mate
7. nah, proper industrial velcro is fine and used by the majority of heavy gigging bassists on this board, we aint talking the kinda velcro you do up ya shoes with here with proper velcro you can pick up the entire board by just one pedal and it wont move! (see one of the diago videos for example) drilling holes is extra effort and devalues pedals, so itd be best to avoid it! your prices take that into account though, so its all good always fancied a wobo, might have to get back to you...
8. i managed to get the switch off and pins out and attempted to wire as you said, but not a sign of a signal, led doesnt even light up, iv f***ed up part of the trace on the board in the process. ah well, thats a tenner il never see again i guess! you live and learn, cheers for help anyways guys
9. first one looks good, but says its designed for soft metal, and these bastard pins aint soft iv ended up hacking away at the switch to try n get it ooff, to no avail
10. seems simple enough, but iv no idea what im gunna use thats thin and sharp enough to get inbetween the gap to cut the pins
11. what about the Dod octoplus?
12.
Readymade by RHCP (Stadium Arcadium disc 2) A real finger workout for both left and right hands
pity the song is pants RHCP pre 94 ftw
13. you had to put THAT pedal in the picture you thinkin of sellin these??
14. bought his broke bass xciter, not had much luck fixin it yet, but it was a sound transaction
15. just learnt propane nightmares by Pendulum this mornin, easy but fun bassline
16. what you suggeted would suit me fine, if need be id bypass it with a spare looper i have, let me know how to do it
17. have done and have tried the end pins on both sides of the switch appear to be soldered on both sides identically whilst the middle pins are only soldered on the back, with no trace on the other side, so im pretty damn sure that the end pins have been soldered on both sides for the extra security, no amount of sucking will suck that solder through hopefully aphex will get in touch, you would have think this would be sorted by now with so many complaints about the switch!
18. iv emailed aphex anyways, see how much a repair would set me back, i would quite like it to work
19.
just opened up my xciter, its only soldered on one side, the side that has easy access to it, the hardest part i can see is removing the internals from the chassis, getting the knobs back in place can be awkward. just a query, but if you werent confident about it why did you buy the pedal, knowing it was faulty, in the first place?
its soldered on both sides, i have the board out of the case in front of me and i dunno, i just felt like it was worth buying and seeing if i could do it
20. i dont like the idea of doin that, its very tight in there, circuit board is rammed
21. okay so i thought id give it a go at fixing one that i bought broke off the forum last week, but i think i dont have the skills! led lights, no signal, signal is fine through bypass, could this be the famous switch f*** up that these pedals suffer?? if so how would i go about replacing it? the switch appears to be soldered on to the board on both sides, and i cant see a way possible of me gettin it off
