1. surely, this being a wal bass, its £2k+?
2. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=230276989689 £204....a good deal?? looks like it has a wooden neck, with active electronics n red led's, total spare of the moment thing i saw it in the last 20 seconds n decided to bid right decision?
3. i personally think that the stock stingray pickup is better than any of the drop ins iv heard the only none exposed pole piece pickup i can think of is the bart, which apparantly dont have the stingray growl
4. a 2eq stingray sold for £750 last week on the forum, so there is hope
5. string spacing is 16mm if iirc pics can be found here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...p;hl=bassmankev
6. i love it, best colour a warwick can be
7. will probably take cash on this now, i really don't need it
8. isnt 78 pre ernie ball? if so, thats why its expensive
9. bump, maybe back for sale (i 'as an odd 'ankerin for rob's Warlock) £200, let me know if theres any interest
10. and recieved she's gorgeous!
11. may i be so bold as to ask how much that set you back?
12. lol how strange!
13. but to say its an ernie ball bass is against ebay policy, it is an ernie ball licensed bass, the bass was not made by ernie ball. i dont see why anyone would choose an olp to try n con someone...
14. why do you not think it is a great copy?? i quite like the finish on the body, n the neck looks like its nicely lacquered, okay the action looks sky high but a good set up will probably sort that out
15. why on earth is anyone going to fall for that! if your gunna try n con someone you dont photograph the bloody headstock
16. lol mate i know everything about it, iv been trackin it since the early ideas were forming, i just dont think they are gunna get many buyers at that price. i personally think they should release a very limited few at half the price so the pedals are out there, and if they are as good as the hype, word will get round and they would sell much better.
17. just too much money
18. light grit on a budget = bad monkey
19. transfer better between instruments??
20. lol what a mad price for such an ugly instrument, only a very serious collecter would consider spending that kinda cash surely
21. i think il pass on that one mate, but cheers for offer:)
22. great pedal, and a great guy to deal with
23.
Its all down to which compromises you want to make and what features you can't live without. Me I'll go for ease of use and consistency of sound and put up with a small loss of sonic fidelity. Also the compression/distortion/chorus/delay settings I use on one song won't always be appropriate for another, so I have three choices - a programmable unit, fiddling about with the controls on my pedal(s) between songs, or a separate pedal for each setting I need. Plus I wouldn't even look at a delay unit that didn't have MIDI sync as well as tap tempo. Our last lead guitarist had a floor full of pedals and was forever fiddling about with them trying to get "the sound he had last time" because invariably at least one of the knobs would have got inadvertently moved, but finding which one... Meanwhile I turn up with my rack, plug the bass into the front and the power and speakers into the back, call up the patch for the first song and I'm ready to go.
big +1 if you want two effects to sound the same with different basses for example, with individula units your gunna be messing round between songs to suit the bass your playing, whereas with a multi effect, you stomp to the next effect patch and your there
24.
Maybe less so, the majority of people would agree that one was red and one was blue, but occasionally you might get a colour blind person come along and claim that both are grey, or that one was grey and one was blue. Its the same kind of thing here, ask the vast majority of people if soundwise they'd prefer a multi effects unit or some well picked stomp boxes, most people choose multi effects over single units for reasons other than sound quality. I'm not using the 'colour blind' example as an insult to say you're 'tone blind' or anything btw, as I think it might appear like that. I'm just using it in the example to show how a seemingly objective argument can also be subjective, yet still fact.
a colour blind person may not be able to tell the difference between the two balls, but that wont change the fact that they are indeed red and blue. i can assure you i am not 'tone blind' and have gone through a lot of single effects unit, behringer to boutique.
25.
never used it then? the synth sounds are complete dog sh*t, but there's some great overdrives, distortions, and fuzz effects on it, as well as phasers and flangers and chorus effects, plus more. I challenge you to a fuzz off...
lol yup iv tried one and didnt like it, much preffered the gt-6b which i bought over it in the end, i just found it to be better all round on the effects front
