1.
Why all the Warwick bashing?
nothing wrong with warwicks mate, its their value at the moment i think is being bashed this sei is worth twice as much if not more than a thumb in the current market
2. dude do not trade this for a bolt on thumb, you will lose so much money! sell iti first, and then buy a thumb
3. i wish id gone for the blowtorch now, i miss it!
4.
Kev, remember that the outboard preamps are only for passive basses or instruments you can run passive. Can you bypass the preamp on your Ray? They don't do anything for an active bass, just overboost it. Rich.
yeah i know, if i went for one of these id be mainly wanting to try it for the AGS function plus, i could be doing a little project with my stagg p bass that no bristolians wish to relieve me of...
5.
You need to go back to school mate - since when has 199 (listed price of Tone Hammer) been half of 299 (listed price of MBII)?
only place i can find the microbass II is at the gallery, for £299 bassmerchant do the tonehammer for £149
6. with the price of the tone hammer being as low as it is, EBS should be worrying, big time. i talked to alex at the gallery, he wouldnt price match £149 for me , but he'd go as low as £162 shipped
7. how the driving test go mate?? and more importantly, hows the bass?
8. do you have mine now, Josh?
9. if you would have put this up about 2 weeks ago, i would have had it in a flash
10. i dont think iv ever listened to another p bass before and wanted it!
11. thats sounds brilliant
12. i think il wait until bassmerchant have them back in stock rather than paying an extra £50 for being impatient!
13.
I just don't understand why they can't just put a bit more time and effort into them, the shapes are a bit of an acquired taste and i'm sure somebody would like them, but why on earth they can't put a decent bridge on there so that you can set the intonation and put some metal ferrules into the string holes so you don't f*** the wood up is completely beyond me. And for a custom 'luthier', and i use the word very loosely, you'd think he'd take a bit more care with actually crafting the bodies, every single wishbass i've seen looks like it's been done with a chisel, sharp edges everywhere, nothing looks even and like it's been done properly, they're just an absolute shambles.
i think your completly missing the point check the guy's ebay feedback, he has many happy customers
14. probably because i can't post it
15. pm'd
16. still here
17. haha warwick tried to be like fender wheres warwickhunt
18. i pride myself on ALWAYS wanting to play bass, never even considering another instrument, pity it took me til i was 18 before actually going out and buying a bass, best thing i ever did though
19. difficult for me to say what is good about myself rather than the easier what is bad! but meh.. Good (i guess): Can learn songs by ear pretty quick at learning new lines have quite a decent memory play decent agressive slap bass (think flea rather than wooten) have a reasonably flexible left hand for fretting good at keeping time (bit of a must really!) have the pleasure of having a truly awesome, special bass completly self taught, and consequently have my own technique Bad (easy really): terrible with a pick, unless its slow downstrokes can't tap can't read music well at all have fairly limited theory knowledge don't know many techniques, kinda limited to fingering and basic slapping struggle with chords can only finger with 2 fingers (i really wanna be able to use 3) can go from being really tight one day to being sloppy as a beer and curry sh*t the next the worst: not in a band due to uni overcrowding my social time
20. last couple of weeks stingrays have actually been selling well on ebay, including one going for around £800, which iirc was completly standard apart from a matching headstock, which doesnt rise value much anyway

Hells Bells

well thats great, if the leader is a twat im sure me n the other bar staff can figure out some nice little pranks to make him look like a nob on stage
22. anyone seen these? they any good?? supposed to be 'thebest in the country', we have them playing at our bar next wednesday, havnt sold too many tickets as of yet, just wondering what to expect
23.
In todays market, anything between £475 to £600. A Paul Turner fan might pay the upper amount or slightly more. I'd be very surprised if a PT fan would pay more than £700 for it. Hope this helps
+1 if im honest, i think to the non PT obsessive, the signature loses value rather than gains, i think this kinda situation is what ebay is pretty good for
