Get a whammy for your octave, it'll be more fun.[/quote] when i buy whammys i always end up selling them! iv had the wh1, wh2 and wh4 and sold them all for one reason or t'other it aint a wah, its a expression pedal for the pigtronix, built like a brick shithouse and weighs about twice the pedal! the overdrive is a rare metal japanese overdrive made by vesta fire, brilliant pedal, flimsy footswitch but good bypass and sounds superb, very effective flexible eq on it too, zero low end loss with the bass knob at 3:00 or beyond

because its compeltly transparant, noiseless, and perfectly effective limiter for what i need, plastic case wont bother me as it will be always on so will never be stomped on, so why spend more? for comparison, the boss limiter colours the sound more than this, to my ears the behringer doesnt change tone whatsoever

yeah i had one for a while...to be honest i can't really remember, i think there was no loss of low end im not sure, nice sounding light overdrive though, nice and versitle eq, i think you better try one first though

to be honest, i quite like it, i love quirky stuff, but there is no way in hell he will get anything greater than £450-£500 for it, you paint a stagg like that, not a bloody stingray!

old fender basses are something id probably buy if i was in my 30's/40's and on 40k a year, but would never ever save up for as theres so much 'better' out there for that kinda money

not sure, the body colour looks quite aged as well as the hardware, it could well be an older model, certainly worth inquiring about!

well iv just picked up a pigtronix envelope phaser pedal, and have to say im very impressed with it. it has the mod done to it so you can have the phaser and filter on at the same time, and to contradict what someone else has wrote in this thread, it works superbly. The filter has a very good feature; it has a seperate trigger jack, so that the envelope can be triggered by your clean bass sound, but will modulate your effected sound, for example i have my signal split, clean bass going into the trigger jack on the pigtronix, and then my clean signal going into effects and then into the pigtronixs' main input. so when a fuzz pedal is on, the envelope is triggered by the clean bass signal, but applies the effect to the fuzz, and thus sounds brilliant with no dynamics lost. Bloody brilliant. im not sure how many other filters have a feature like this! sorry bit OT there, but yeah i think phasers work great with filters, not sure which way round the chain is in the pigronix, but i imagine the phaser is after the filter alternativly get the pigtronix! i imagine it would work fantastically with the BMS when triggered by your clean bass signal, although its a bit pricey so depends on your budget

yeah gotta say, 20ma seems little for a preamp like this, but hey its straight from the horses mouth so ill shh
