1. I did think the same, awful. Wilko has been through an awful lot and was only weeks/months away from death as I recall, so I am sure that plays a part. Doesn't excuse Norman though, he was well off.
2. And sold. Thanks for all the interest, folks
3.
Looks superb! If only all Thumbs were made like this.
What, all Thumb basses lightweight, well balanced and tonally flexible?? It would never catch on
4.
Fantastically comfortable bass to play, weighs almost nothing! Good luck with the sale Kev
Cheers bud, the neck is wonderful on this, very much not the baseball bat associated with the period!
5. Awesome old skool B7K!
6. Lots of interest but for the moment is still here. Also listed on eBay Trade-wise, I am looking at SS1 or SSII 4 strings. Will consider other trades with cash my way, but ideally a cash sale on this one.

Fodera anyone?

Incredible, but its a Fodera. This is how much they are, and the pricelist does show that these basses go for $20-35k new. What I find far more incredible is someone paid this, and is now selling it so quickly.
8. Hands down, nicest looking Shedua Wal I ever did see. Stunning! And a superb price too!
9. Up for sale I have the holy grail of Limited edition Warwick, the Dirty Blonde, 4 string version. Limited edition custom shop built Warwick from 2006 in great condition. Comes with original Warwick Hardcase and complete user kit with certificate. A few marks here and there as can be expected for a 8 year old gigging bass, but as you can see from the pictures in gorgeous condition. Stunning Poplar Burl top, incredible Tigerstripe Ebony fingerboard and the bass weighs about 8.5lb. It has been upgraded with the fantastic BRASS Just-A-Nut III from the frankly awful tedur JAN II and is now looks superb. Sold

Ah, it's back for sale! I have a dirty blonde to sell first, but very much interested in this!
11.
OK maybe I am mistaken that they all had flat fretboards - anyway I wanted mine a bit more curved. And I found the end result smoother to play. thanks Pete
So, the radius is more curved than the standard, do you know the measurement? If it was a custom change, maybe it will be written on the inside of the control plate if you don't know it?
12. I'll have a Penguin if one is going. Just let me know where I can pickup.
13. Any dings on the neck and fingerboard at all? anything you can feel when playing?
14.
To answer your question Francesco: All the Wal basses had a flat fretboard which I didn't like so I asked Wal to make the fretboard slightly curved like a Fender. He did a great job and I found it much more intuitive and comfortable to play.
All the Wals don't have flat fingerboards? Standard is 12" radius I believe? In any case, a solid shedua body is pretty special, stunning instrument!
15. See, I am waiting for pedal Darkglass are currently brewing! However, if I had a bass for the preamp I would buy it! Just ordered a T-Shirt too, how cool are these:
16. Nice one, Doug. Onwards and upwards!
17. Replied and sold
18. Love the design, but any strap that completely relies on a little pin makes me very uncomfortable! The schaller design is such that, if the mechanism fails, the bass will not crash to the floor. If this (and others like it,Warwick, Dunlop etc) system fails....
19. I don't know the exact measurement without looking and can't find a measurement online, but it is the larger type hole so should be 11/16?
20. Been tempted by one of these basses many a time. Looks a stunner What is the width at the nut? I'm being a little lazy as I am sure it is on the Ric website, but humour me
21. Last push of the year
