1. not that Rosanna Barr? getting coat.
2. same thing.... D major is the relative major of B minor - they've both got F# and C# in their key signature. But of course, you knew that already. Carry on. The F# major is a quirky way of making chord V (F# in B minor) a major chord (instead of the minor chord) to strengthen the V-I pull (cadence). It's used a lot in minor key songs.
3. yup, don't really care about 'pop', I like 'music'.
4. Long fingers might appear to move more than little ones due to the length accentuating the pivot at the knuckle etc... Best thing to do is to have your technique examined by a good teacher and they can perhaps suggest some exercises to help you modify your technique.

Large Tramp!

Yay, tramampoline!!!
6. EHX Hog. http://www.ehx.com/blog/effectology-hammond-b3-organ OF course, the church in question has to play a B3...
7. That's a beauty, fortunately it's a lot more distinctive than a generic 'Fender' etc... Hope it's back in your clutches safe and sound ASAP. Edit: increased your picture size.
8. Yup, been using rotos for years and once had a duff one. Rotosound sent me a replacement post haste. Really snappy customer service.
9.
That will be difficult to achieve. It's a bit like saying you want a bird wots classier than Pippa Middleton in that bridesmaid's dress.
yup, they've both got lovely round bottom ends.
10. today didn't start well - I just broke a nail.
11. What impedance are the P bass pups? Do you have any that are close to 10kΩ?
12.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again! If economy is a major factor, I don't think you can go far wrong with these: http://www.guitarfetish.com/GFS-Bass-Guitar-Pickups_c_97.html
True dat. I've had their P and J pups and they've always been brilliant. Be warned though, the Overwound ones are ridiculously loud!
13.
I've only got one pedal...... So far :-) It's an Ashdown LoMenzo and it's great fun :-D
if I hadn't fallen head over heels with my DHA pedal then that's one that I'd have kept. Sounds brilliant and looks awesome. Fairly mahoosive footprint though.
14. Behringer pedals are really good Boss copies. I doubt you'll have trouble moving it on if you don't like it. It might be worth placing an ad in the 'items wanted' section on here just in case someone 'didn't get on' with one.
15. Not bad, i reckon I've got about 1/8 of a turn on the truss rod of my bitsa P/M bass and I've cracked it. My re-fret went better than I thought too. Enough tinkering, time for some proper playing...
16. I use "mobile metronome" for my android phone. It's brilliant for practicing at home. I've not used it with a band though.
17. You might need to mute the power amp too, just i case you get a big 'thump' when you switch between them.
18. Ah, that's the same model as my first 'proper' bass head. Good times.
19. Loved it - good that he didn't take it all too seriously. And yes; I thought it was interesting.
20. Working on the assumption that it's loops and 'conventional' performance instruments - I'd score the instrumentation as normal and use two single lines (like percussion or similar) - one to indicate the beat (or time) where the sample is triggered, and another to notate the rhythm of the sample. You could even do it that way using one line for the triggers and an ossia over the top for the sample rhythm. Just a thought.
21.
I always thought I was wimping out by using index and little. I can stretch to use my ring finger, but it's not particularly comfortable and doesn't always sound good tbh.
One-finger-per-fret is more of a guideline than a rule... I go with whatever's comfortable for whatever position I'm in.
22.
we have a banjo player and that thing is a beast to tame for feedback.
but they're really good as kindling...
23.
hello.. has anyone tried the Chord OC-50 or the Beta Aivin OC-100 Super Octave (?).. both go for around 40 quid.. Hmm Cheers!
I've got the chord one and it's brilliant. Much prefer it to the Aguilar and EBS. Really, really good OC2 clone.
