  1. I just read this thread about the Ric I think this guy has tried to buy things off me before. What an idiot. I saw this one as I’m looking for a Ric I was also bidding on a black 4001S a week or so back and was negotiating with the chap when it disappeared. It’s a shame they won’t allow Rics on here as there are quite a few of us here who still play and enjoy them despite their slightly misguided CEO. I think you were right to pull out of the sale and you will be able to challenge any negative feedback given the evidence of his multiple IDs and behaviour.
  2. What’s the weight please?
  3. Fender MIJ E Series Precision Bass 1984 This is one of the early Japanese made Fenders and is a superb instrument with a lovely neck. The truss rod turns and the frets are good, all original as far as I can see and comes in a Bass Centre tatty but protective gigbag. I have swapped the bridge saddles for vintage style threaded types however I will swap them back to the originals. There are a few dings to the metallic candy apple red finish but nothing awful. The back of the neck is in lovely condition. The neck pocket area has none of the usual tiny cracks around it that many Fenders do. There is a small repair around the nut that does not affect playability. I’m selling as I’ve just bought a rather expensive bass and I need to free up some cash. Sorry no trades and though I’d prefer pickup I can ship within the UK only at buyers cost. There are lots of nice things said about this era of Fender online.
  4. Lancaster
  5. JV Squier 1982 Jazz Bass in sunburst. The bass is near original and has a beautiful flame to the centre of the sunburst finish. The bass weighs around 9.6lbs and the dark rosewood board has a wonderful feel and low action. The bass has been widely gigged and has its share of knocks and scuffs. It’s genuinely gigworn owing to 36 years of life on the road! See pics for condition. There is a chip on the headstock that has been filled. There are a couple of dings on the neck. I will post more pics. The earth strip has been replaced with copper foil. There is no structural damage and the truss rod turns as it ought to - the neck is straight and true and the frets are good. It’s a lovely old Squier made during their golden era and only a short time after the logo changed from large Fender to large Squier script. No case sorry and no trades. UK only.

  9. As ever I’d like to know the weight of it please.
  10. Held together with the saliva of a generation of punks
  11. Yes they will be but your offer is reasonable I think!

  13. Hi there does it have the tuners with the smaller rectangular back plates or the full size versions? Thanks
  14. 2008 Road Worn Jazz in fiesta red. This is the first issue RW and has the Road-worn stamp under the pick guard but not the circular route. The bass is very light at 3.8kgs which is a tad under 8.4lbs it is in excellent condition and comes with original gig bag, tags and paperwork. This bass has one of the best Jazz necks I’ve played with rolled ‘played in’ edge fingerboard and a low action. Selling as I tend to gravitate towards my old faithful JV Squier. The truss rod turns and all functions as it ought to. I’d prefer pickup from Lancaster but I can post in the UK only at buyers expense. Sorry no trades.
  15. It’s an ARP Axxe from 1979 it’s a thing of sonic beauty!
  16. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ESP-Horizon-1984-LOW-Serial-Vintage-Flame-Maple-KOA-Precision-Jazz-Style-Bass/183178798859?hash=item2aa64ea70b:g:vlgAAOSw1fha0i~K This bass has done the rounds and each time it appears it gets rarer and more expensive. I had one a few years ago and yes it was a very nice bass but certainly not worth this much 😳
  17. Moog Subphatty Analog Mono Synth This is a great example of the Moog Sub Phatty Synth purchased as a spare for my old Moog. This synth is in very good cosmetic and functional condition. Like many early versions of the Sub the original plastic shafted filter control pot and the pitch/modulation wheel units failed. These have been replaced by HHB - the official Moog service centre in the UK. The synth comes boxed with original manual, instructions and power lead. Pickup preferred but I can courier in the UK only at buyers cost. Sorry no trades.
  18. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DOUBLE-EDGE-4-STRING-BASS-GUITAR-VINTAGE-JAPANESE/123069482273?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 I think it ought to read “Double Eagle”.
  19. Novation Bass Station in excellent condition with box, manual and original strap buttons. The synth is battery powered or used a 9v psu - not supplied. Sounds great and is good for lead sounds, bass and effects. A recent purchase but it’s making way for another Moog. Price includes UK postage. No trades sorry.
  20. Weight of the bass please?
  21. It reminds me of the seat in the smallest room in my house.
  22. Why would you start to ‘sand down’ such an expensive instrument - the transparent red finish is lovely too what a shame
