This Fender Roadworn Jazz neck comes without hardware other than the nut. Trussrod turns and the frets are good, nice slim nut width. The rear of the neck has been sanded to a satin finish and stained to look more worn by the original owner. It feels great and when I fitted it to a Fender body it played well with a low action. I’m selling this as part of my ‘just moved house bass clearance’ . I can post in the UK for about a tenner. No trades. Sold!

The great bass clear out continues.... this time an American Special Series Jazz Bass. This is a Fender USA special series neck and body purchased from eBay the Fender hardware was included. The only thing I added were the scratchplate, pickups and pots. The pickups are an Entwistle JB neck pickup and a spare bridge pickup I had knocking around. The bass plays very well and weighs in at just over 9lbs. Withdrawn

I’m selling this 1966 Fender Mustang Bass it is in used ‘Road worn’ condition and comes with none original case. The bass has had some parts replaced over its 52 years; the tuners which look as if they were replaced many years ago are Schallers. The originals would have been the ‘lollipop’ or paddle style and were known to fail. The saddles appear also to be replacements as they have Allen type height screws rather than slot types. The nut has been replaced with a brass one. Other than this the bass has its original pickups, electrics and hardware. The bass plays very well and the shortscale neck is straight with decent thin frets and nice and slim profile. It’s also very light at around 7lbs. The original red finish has darkened with age and has plenty of dings and marks. There is rust on the chrome - I’ve included a new control-plate too but haven’t used it. The bass has all the usual stamps and marks - see pics. It’s a first year release Mustang bass and it looks and sounds very cool. When I bought it it was missing the headstock strap button and thumb rest - I replaced these with genuine Fender parts the thumb rest was taken from my ‘74 Jazz Bass and the strap button purchased from eBay. As an additional bonus it has history as it was purchased from Pete Briquette of The Boomtown Rats. It comes with letter of provenance from Pete and it was bought for him by Bob Geldof. The case has the band’s logo on it too. I’d prefer pickup on this bass but I will post in the UK only. Please note that the postage price will include only basic insurance. 1983 Squier JV Precision Bass. It’s in good condition however the trussrod is maxed out and the action a bit too high for my tastes. I have put washers under the truss rod nut which helped take the bow out but the action is still a little high for me. It has the original hardware - tuners and string tree and Japanese pickups but new wiring and pots. The scratch plate is a replacement. The bridgeplate is brass however the original saddles and springs remain. The bass is in its original two tone finish. It’s light and well balanced and sounds great. The price includes a case. Pickup preferred but I can post in the UK only at buyers cost. No trades. The trussrod will need work however but it isn’t snapped. SOLD

Yes it’s superb I know but Im not using many of the featuresI just use the core Moog lead or bass sounds. It’s a great synth but I prefer a simpler layout as it will primarily be used for live work. I’m going to sell it and go back to a Moog LP or Sub, if anyone wants to do a trade deal on one of these or a vintage Rogue let me know. No other trades though. The trade being cash to me plus an LP or Sub not a straight swap as that would be a bit daft 😉

I have my Moog Sub 37 for sale - a superb synth in excellent condition with sounds of warm analog loveliness. No trades sorry, this comes with manual. Pickup from Lancaster.

Here’s a nice Fender American Special Jazz neck fitted with original tuners and hardware. It’s straight with minimal fret wear. I bought it to try on a Precision Bass with a defunct neck but I’ve now managed to get a Precision neck which I prefer. The neck dates from 2010 and had previously been in storage when I got it. Postage will be £10 in the UK only. Sorry no trades. Now needed for another project so withdrawn.

Danelectro Reel Echo in excellent condition with box. This is a great unit for slap back echos and great emulations of classic tape echo units of the 50s and 60s. It’s got a wide range of sounds and effects and sounds great on guitar, bass and vocals. I used it to get a pretty authentic Jet Harris type sound. It also does sound on sound.
