  1. Bought these strings today for my Fender Mustang but they aren’t long enough for my through body string bass so the thinner bit sits on the nut. The strings haven’t been used although the E string was briefly fitted and trimmed when I realised the problem. They will fit most shortscale basses with a non string through bridge. Price includes postage. UK only.
  2. It’s a great bass I can vouch for it!
  3. He was looking for one
  4. Another deal done - great to trade with as ever! Thank you Alain
  5. I have to ask....how much does it weigh? 🙂
  6. Cheers Dunc - the pickups and preamp are excellent on this bass and it plays beautifully. A lot of bass for little money!
  7. Replied and still for sale
  8. If you can’t afford an original early Fender Precision bass how about this? It’s a gorgeous 1982 non-export JV Precision Bass made in Japan allegedly to the specs/blueprint of pre CBS Fender. The bass differs from the JV export series in that it has none reverse tuners and a bridge with single thread saddles. The bass is completely original and was imported from Japan and used in a studio for several years before I recently bought it. The neck is lovely quite shallow with a vintage feel without the width and clubbiness of some later P basses. A clean dark rosewood board, slim frets and a low action. Truss rod has plenty of play. The two piece body is made of highly figured Sen Ash. It’s light weight at just over 8lbs with a nice balance. Pickups sound great and everything works as it ought too. The sunburst has a true vintage vibe to it and is in very good condition for a 35 year old working bass! The original owner even had it featured on the 21frets JV website gallery! I didn’t think I’d be selling this but something very special turned up yesterday that I couldn’t resist and as I already own three JVs one had to go. I haven’t had opportunity to bond with this one so last in first out. This really is a lovely vintage quality collectible bass for not much money. Sorry no trades and no none UK buyers please - there isn’t a case or bag so pickup preferred but I will post insured at buyers cost. Thanks Some very high quality pics of this bass prior to my ownership here - http://www.21frets.com/squier_jv/gallery12.htm
  9. Hi Prowla - According to eBay it has been sold to me and I paid for it so I don’t know what your previous reply refers too? Glitch in the system perhaps? Cheers
  10. Cheers I’ll report back when I get it, looking forward to it!
  11. Yep and it’s Pete’s and we’ve agreed to use UPS
  12. Here is a recently purchased Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe with Fender noiseless pickups, active circuit with volume, blend, stacked treble and bass EQ pot and master tone. The bass has a great tone, very versatile and an amazing neck with a low action and great balance. Frets and neck are perfect. Slight wear and tear cosmetically but nothing nasty or structural. Its a bit heavy for me as it’s around 4.5kgs hence the sale. Newly strung with Daddario roundwounds. A great bass for not much cash. No trades UK only, I can post at buyers cost f necessary.
  13. I’ll organise my own courier
  14. Yep looks like it! I’ve had contact and my offer is in for consideration
  15. Possibly Pete Briquette played shorter scale basses including Hofner Violins, Kramers and Rics...
  16. Also noted the tuners have been changed originals were possibly lollipop types
  17. Yes I noticed that and also the saddles have the wrong type of screws in them but these are typical mods/upgrades of a bass this age I reckon. My 71 P Bass had a bass nut and bridge.
  18. I've made an enquiry and speculative offer so here's hoping 🤞
