    You want to find out which colour combination gives you the same reading on the resistance setting of your meter. Then you make a judgment call as to which pair (from each pair) you join up to produce your humbucker ... if you don't fancy the sound the first time round, chances are you have them out of phase and they need to be reversed.

    Aye. The good thing with the 3D is that it has lateral adjustment so it can be made to fit many spacings... and it looks a bit like your Ibby one... from a distance.

    Mmmm not really. If the new bridge's holes don't impose on the old holes then just leave them.. otherwise plug them with kebab skewers etc. You might as well put sticky tape over them if you are going to use wood filler.

    Just seen your pic on Flickr. Yeah it's fecked. Schaller 3D would be a good replacement, although it doesn't have the same 4 screw design.

    It's Farecla G10 (fine) and G3 (coarse) that I have. I get very good scratch free results with it. Here's a deep polish I did for one of the guys on here... Be careful with it though, it seeps into your skin and (with me anyway) can be sort of painful for a day or two... also if you play guitar after using it your fingers go black as it reacts with the metal in the strings... some sort of gloves are probably in order.

    It should work, although it might be a little too abrasive. Test it on an area that will be under the p/g first. Use lots of water for lubrication. I use a product which is designed to be used in the auto industry too but it is a particularly fine version (in fact I have 2 different grades of the stuff) and was given to me by a professional auto painter.

    Apparently the magnets can lose strength over time, making the output a little less powerful. I'm sure if this were the case you'd already know.
