1.

There is a modded lefty one of these on ebay UK at the moment so not unique but certainly unusual.
2. You can put blu-tack under the controls to fix them in the position you want. I did this with a few basses I played upside down.
3. Thanks for trade offer and I will check out the pics when you post them. Sale still preferable though.
4. Price includes UK postage.
5. Sting did favour that yellow jacket and white trouser look for a long time but if you check out the gig in Chile from that time he plays completely in black with the Steiny. Looks far cooler. Demolition Man is one of the songs I actually like to play and sing when jamming around. Good tune for guitarists to solo on.
6. The Police tribute thing has been helped by the recent reunion tour in terms of what look to go for and you dont have to be under 35 anymore. My favourite era is 1980-82 when he played his P bass, resprayed red, then switched back to his trusted J for a while before getting the Steinberger. The Synchronicity era was too glam for my liking. All big hair and big outfits.
7. My '57 RI has a Kent Armstrong fitted and its very versatile.
8. Wouldn't touch it myself but may be a nice player.
9. Sooooooo sexy! Gimme! What you mean Im a lefty? I can change!
10. I assume he is able as he took an order from me just over a week ago.
11. Steinberger screams 80's to me. I owned an L2. However, I hankered for a Wal or a Vigier too I would say though that Musicman was a big part of the look and sound of the '80s with pop groups like Kajagoogoo and Sade.
12. Throw in a Super Mario and some gold coins and you have a game. Reminds me of some Macca lines where he too would improvise his way through a track keeping it fluid.
13.
Thanks but rosewood is easy, its finding maple necks that is the problem.
There is a Fender jazz body on ebay just now with a fitted Squier VM all-maple neck.
14. At only £30 its worth a meddle.
15. You could perhaps replace the bridge with the type you get on a beatles bass which is moveable and height adjustable. Depends how attached you are to the bass. Could buy a better one 2nd hand.
16. Speaker is original. This combo is loud. I even used it back in the 90's as my stage monitor supporting Simple Minds in an arena tour.
17. I'm practically next door. Wish it was a lefty.
18. Started on a Beatles bass, flirted with some modern stuff, now happy with my P + J basses.
19. The micro Ampeg VR stack might be a nice companion to your P bass.
