  9. Isn't this the same for anybody pursuing a dream? Athletes, footballers, sportsmen in general have to invest in themselves. Some make it, some don't. Nothing has changed there. Loads of people have stories of being skint musicians. It's never been easier to be a musician - promoting your own wares is simple compared to pre Internet - producing something that will sell , now that's the trick.
  10. Stole it. Hope it was somebody here

  12. Billy don't be a hero - Paper Lace
  13. Just reminded me that I have a pair of those pickups somewhere.
  14. If you're happy with your existing bass and weight is the only issue have you considered having the bass chambered and have a light weight facing fitted? I've considered this a few times - thankfully I haven't followed through - but if you or someone you know is good with a router it could be an option.
  15. (Dr) Who are you? _ The Who

  23. I had a B2a fretless in the 80s which had the first side dot marker on the 4th fret instead of the 3rd. Experimented with tuning a half step down and playing the "non dots" - neither worked. Ended up paying a geeetarist to remark the side dots.
  24. It would be easy if I only bought from here. Very few basses here that I'm interested in buying, though some very nice examples of gear I'd love for nowt. Being an Xmas baby I was forced to buy myself a geeetar as I couldn't find a bass that I wanted.
  25. First cut is the deepest - Rod Stewart
