  1. Suffocate City - David Bowie
  2. I have the same bass - sounds great, plays fantastic. I'm scared to touch it though...finger marks
  3. These always remind me of the Bass Collection basses. If they are anyway close to being as good (being Yamaha I have no reason to think why it wouldn't be) then this would be an absolute steal. I don't think that I've ever seen a 5er though. Are they available?
  4. Available on FB for £480 https://www.facebook.com/groups/184621401586617/permalink/6487797984602229/?sale_post_id=6487797984602229&app=fbl
  5. 5-4-3-2-1 - The Dave Clark 5
  6. The bass player, Richard Searle, from Corduroy uses one of these. He sounds amazingly funky - and he uses a pick
  7. S-S-Single bed - Fox
  8. Return of the mack - Mark Morrison
  9. Shame...I thought that this layout was innovative and might even catch on.
  10. I'm (sort of) with @NancyJohnson on this. I'm not convinced that spending lots of money on new pickups gets you anything more than you could get by adjusting the settings on your amp. "I want pickups with more punch in the mid range"...I'm pretty sure that this would be possible with a bit of fiddling. For the price of your replacement pickups I would be happy to come and fiddle with your amp settings. (This is NOT a euphemism).
  11. Can't stand them...shouldn't be allowed
  12. Two out of three ain't bad - Meatloaf
  13. Cold as ice - Foreigner ( I think)
  14. Pine fretboard??
  15. Small town boy - Bronski Beat
  16. Shout to the top - The Style Council (Paul Weller's best work)
  17. Welcome @moose23 Discount for BC members? Just kidding...
  18. Those prices must look enticing to those interested in getting a mid price bass. Can only increase Sire's market share.
  19. Bargain
  20. BC Massive to the rescue!!!
  21. Our lips are sealed - The Go-Gos
  22. Strange town - The Jam
  23. Purple Rein(deer)-Prince
  24. At this year's SE Bash Laurence Cottle did one of the seminars. For those who don't know Laurence check out the artists he's played with and what tracks he's recorded. He says that he practices 5-6 hours every day - and you can tell. He plays effortlessly in all styles, note perfect, never misses a beat. Inspirational? No! Pisssed me right off - completely demoralised. Till that seminar I thought that I was "alright " and could hold my own. If I'd put in the same hours practicing would I be as good? Unlikely - for me, like many others here, playing bass is a way to vent my artistic streak...if it was my job I would probably come to hate it.
  25. Very Ritter-esque...
