  1. It's completely beyond me why more people didn't get a ABM 400 or 1000 this is easily the best amp I have had & I have owned a Ampeg SVT, Ampeg poraflex . Carlsbro, Fender Bassman 135, Various GK, Markbass Little Rocker , Mrk 3, Mo Mark , Mesa Boogie 400+ Trace Elliot Mrk6, Warwick Various ...just saying .
  2. I have a Ashdown ABM 400RH ( weight 9kg) & two Ashdown Neo 2 x10 cabs ( weight about 40lbs each ) I've never been happier with my sound . I also have a Barefaced super 12T this is only 37 lbs , I have to cut the low mids with this cab to get my sound , But I like the height of the Ashdown stack & for me it looks cool.
  3. I wonder how many people this will put off of getting TC stuff in the future ? Or is it just me being a gear snob
  4. [attachment=191533:Mo Mark Front.jpg][attachment=191534:Mo Mark Rear.jpg][attachment=191535:Momark Modules.jpg][attachment=191536:Mini 1 x8 front.jpg][attachment=191537:Mini 1 x8 rear.jpg]
  5. I now have all my stuff made in the UK so this is going , Markbass Mo Mark 250watt Frame with Pre T1M, EQ445-HE, MVVL-HE & extra EQ0 & MO. including rack ears & semi flight case, As New Never Gigged £499 posted . Markbass Mini Mark 1 x8 £230 posted (SOLD)
  6. I use 2 x Ashdown 2x10 neo cabs stacked vertically For the same reason & I'm very happy with them .
  7. I have a Zoom 3 & a Zoom B61 ( I think that's what it's called ) & for me I spent far too much time fiddling with them at home , getting some great sounds but at gigging volume the levels were all over the place . so I stick to the over Drive , Comp & Sub /Oct built into my Ashdown ABM 400 digital & very happy with it .
  8. I've done gigs with a single Ashdown Neo 2 x 10 with no problem sound wise , I only use two because of my height monitoring wise . I would go for a ported cab .
  9. I have a super 12T , but at the moment I use my Ashdown 2 x10 cabs stacked for near clarity to me as I'm nearly on top of it . How about A super 12T with the top speaker angled up a bit ?
  10. Every time I see someone doing a bass solo or demonstration Do they feel the need to let everyone know what they can do technically , It's normally slap style & high up the neck . How about something low low down & interesting .It's a bass after all . & if it's an amp demonstration it would be letting me know what the amp can handle . I'm sick of it I tell yu
  11. I have the 8" & when I a/b it against my mates 6" it sounds quite a bit bigger in the low mids . to my ears . having said that I'm probably going to sell it as I just don't use it I prefer to use my acoustic at home .
  12. i was going to go for a couple of these & have them stacked vertically for monitoring as I'm quite tall , But Alex said somewhere they are designed to be stacked Horizontally & it put me off , I would still be interested in hearing what they are like in the two different stacked positions.
  13. I have the ABM 400 RH & with the NEO cabs I have to say it is the best rig I have ever used . My only regret is not getting the ABM1000 , just because . & I have no idea why they have stopped them ? I would love to A/B it to the new ABM600 . At band rehearsal last night every member of the band stopped & said what a great tone I had .
  14. I have a barefaced super 12T & I find my Mark bass heads sound very thin compared to my Ashdown ABM 400 RH head .
  15. I wouldn't touch it unless I had to , I know I've buggered mine up but luckily for me it plays perfectly , Jon Shuker is aware but it's been fine for the past year .
  16. I'd sell my ibanez musician , & surf green with status jazz neck to get this ...what a great looking bass .
  17. Certainly doesn't sound light weight , compared[attachment=187514:My RIG.jpg][attachment=187514:My RIG.jpg] to my Mark Bass stuff
  18. I have the Ashdown ABM400 RH , It's the only Digital amp that sounds like it's a heavy weight , compared it to my Mark Bass Amps . IMHO.
  19. If I use the overdrive as soon as I turn the amp on It sounds intermittent / odd , but it's Ok after the amp has been on for a while , As it's a valve does it need a bit of time to warm up ? I'm not sure how these things work . cheers .
  20. I found the Ashdown Digital ABM 400RH & Barefaced 12T or my preferred Ashdown Neo cabs nail it
  21. I have a peterson Rack tuner , but it has far too many features for me & I prefer the Pitch Black.
  22. This may have already been said , I'm stopping my subscription because it's in WH Smiths two weeks before I get it through the post .
  23. I have a ABM 400 RH & 2 , 2 x10 Neo cabs . Sometimes I want to pick fault with it & AB it against my MB little Rocker & Mo Mark stuff but they just can't do what the Ashdown does .
