1.
Sure, it's this one: I just love looking at the headstock, lol
I've had no choice but to report this post... as containing an awesome bass!
2.
Yes, this Emperor is the standard model and it's £5300ish. In my eyes, that is an awful lot of cash for a non-custom instrument. http://www.basscentr...12%20blowup.php
Agreed. I wish I owned one but reality tells me that I probably will not.
3. In addition to the custom builds, Fodera has also released Standard series of the Monarch, Emperor, Victor Wooten Yin Yang, Matt Garrison, Tom Kennedy models. Standards are a little less expensive than a full custom build.
4.
It is very hard to resist. I am really thinking about it, but don`t really need it. Is it going to be much different from a Clover Avenger to warrant buying it? Problem is, i will never know, as i can`t try one. Also a Streamer. Which one is best? Too much to think about
The Streamer is an excellent instrument as well. You can't go wrong with a Streamer.

6. I own a Warwick Thumb BO 6 and it certainly rocks! Others already mentioned the Thumb is the fundamental "sound" of Warwick. Once you play a Warwick Thumb, you will be able to identify one in any song. My Thumb has also been my go-to instrument when I've gone to jam with other musicians. They are NOT light by any stretch. Mine is about 11Lbs. I counter the weight with a nice wide strap to distribute the weight more evenly across my shoulder. My strap also has a rough suede back so it stays in place on my shoulder. I've always worn my basses high, so that also counters neckdive which others have already indicated. As for the neckdive, you may also look into the Warwick Streamer or Corvette.
7.
Had another quick look on t'Net: http://www.gear4musi...CFSrpwgod-HoAvQ Yours for £1,930!
Sadly, that means in order to find a used one, somebody will need to buy one at full price. For those in North America: $2,499.99 in US / $2,799.95 in Canada
8. Bass soloist, Jeff Schmidt is left-handed but plays on a right-handed bass with the highest string at the top. That technique has contributed to him developing a unique style difficult for others to duplicate in a standard stringing format. There are many videos on YouTube of his work.
9. I agree with visoq. They look very comfortable, but their retail price is quite expensive. I might be interested if I ever saw a used one listed at a decent price.
10. That's a beauty! Personally, I am not generally partial to Explorer-shaped basses, but this one Rocks!

That is awesome! Love it. Why paint it? I think the wood looks great. Just put a matte clear coat on it to protect the wood.. My first bass was an old blue Vantage Flying V bass. Needed to work with a little neck dive and if sitting down to practice, you need to wedge the bottom V-wing between your legs.
12. Warwick collaborated with Torzal to build a Twist Infinity? lol
13. I don't own these, but I always stop to look at pictures of these basses whenever I open the Luthier's Access Group website. http://www.luthiersa...d-piezo-pickup/ Leduc UBass 6, both fretted and fretless. On an individual basis, they are $4,500 but as the twin set, they are $8,250.
14. In Quebec Canada, there is a builder Mathieu Bilodeau that makes basses with a ball or scroll. And the prices don't look too high. http://www.bilodeaubasses.com
15. Cliff Bordwell (CB Basses) makes a Ball Bass. http://cbbasses.com
16. An EBMM Bongo HH 6 is among the top 3 of my wishlist.
17. They're cool if the finish has been maintained. A high gloss black looks great. A faded and/or scratched black finish doesn't look so hot. Stickers are also a turnoff for me.
18. Can't go wrong with either of the model series you referenced above. I've owned an SR885 with a nice padauk top, for 20 years and it still sounds great. I'd always received compliments on the sound when I played it live. I'll never sell it.
19. Sounds great. Post picture(s) and a review when you receive it. I'd like someone's review of Clover. There aren't too common for us in Canada.
20. I have to agree with he others. If you felt comfortable with the Ibanez, I say go for it. I've owned my Ibanez SR885 for 20 years and it still sounds great. However, something you should keep in mind. Ibanez generally have narrow string spacing and lower scale lengths in comparison to other brands/models. Not necessarily, but it could present some transition time to move to a different brand/model.
21. A Bongo HH 6 is among the top 3 of my wishlist. I hope to own one someday.
22. I know I'm in the minority, but I like the Bongo design. And that is a beautiful PDN finish.
