  1. ... when you can have three?
  2. I bet that's not going to show up on eBay any time soon... I'd be keeping it if it was mine!
  3. Those are lovely - especially the fretless!
  4. £100. I need the space.
  5. I do like the colour!
  6. Precisely. The body shape does it no favours at all.
  7. What are the used strings cut for, please?
  8. Nice! "Revelation Day" sounds like a Gillian Welch song.
  9. No idea. I ran across it, I was interested by it, wondered whether some other BCer might be.
  10. Sadly, it's not a Fender-standard body. Ah well. Maybe I should just put it back in the attic... I did notice that a Tanglewood Overwater has a 22-fret neck.
  11. I'm tempted to put it on a solidbody bass guitar, see what it sounds like...
  12. Gah... My SB301's needed a new neck for a long time. Last week I gave up, posted it here. Sold the body on Sunday. Bah, humbug.
  13. Good point. Thank you!
  14. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hutchins-Calypso-single-cut-5-string-bass-guitar/223137935870?hash=item33f40eb1fe:g:PtEAAOSwLxpblUIr Lucky for me, it's not fretless
  15. Thanks, gentlemen. Unfortunately the Kmise won't do because I am looking for something where the neck itself is 22 frets ' worth long - any overhang would have to be on top of that. I'll have a look at second-hand Ibanez.
  16. Wow. I'm stunned all over again every time I look at this. How thick will the neck be at the nut, front to back, if I may ask?
  17. Are they old strings? Maybe they have a limited lifespan?
  18. Thanks. Also the Yamaha RBX200, which is why I'm asking... it's not worth spending a lot on a £100 bass, sadly.
  19. .
  20. That's what I thought. Thanks, that's a lot cheaper than trying it
  21. I suppose I could try something barbarous and find a 24-fret I could shorten... 😮 Would the trussrod be too long, though?
  22. If this is what it claims to be it might be worth a punt. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-string-bass-guitar/153173217726?hash=item23a9d5d1be:g:XXUAAOSwS-dblPzV
  23. Remain In Light and Fear Of Music were the peak, IMO. There was a time there where they were the best band in the world. The Stop Making Sense reading of 'Heaven' will be played at my funeral.
