1. Points to Voodoosnake, for having brains, manners and courage. Good for you.
2. I don't like Explorers... or metal. Or green guitars. But that is epic
3. I handled a UK purchase for Javier when the seller refused to deal with anyone outside the UK. Javier has been a gentleman throughout.
4. Bought Nick's spare copy of Simandl book 1. A nice clean transaction with nothing but good things to say. I'd be happy to deal with him again. Thanks Nick

6.
I'd be taking a life insurance policy out on him then.
7. Too weird. Why would you build that? I suppose you could use it as a lap steel, but I don't think there's much market for the bass version...
8.
I had a Synapse a few years ago, and it was just a piece of metal screwed securely into the body at one end, and with a hook at the other end that you hooked your strap onto. Simple enough, and it did work, but it always felt slightly unstable to me. How about a small bag of lead weights hung from the strap button at the bridge end? Cheaper than $39.99 plus shipping and duty from the States for a bit of tungsten steel!
Thank you. I guessed as much but was never sure. I've wondered about the use of a perspex plate to add mass to the body. Attached to back of body using cover-plate screw and an extended neck screw; should add mass invisibly and reversibly, and without altering the feel of the bass much. Obviously this would work only for flat-backed bodies. I did buy a slab of plastic (when I bought mcnach's Shine ASAT-alike) but never got round to shaping and fitting it.
9. Absolutely gobsmackingly awesome.
10. Thank you, I'll try that and report back. Still interested in the Steinberger gadget though
11. Ouch... Good luck, and get well soon!
12. hi I've acquired a Tele-style bass from Retrovibe, and (predictably) it has a touch of neck-dive. I'm wondering how the strap extension seen on Steinberger Synapse basses works, and how it's attached, and whether it would be worth trying to source one or make myself a knockoff. All advice gratefully received Thanks Mike (edit for typo.)
13. Neck sold pending. Anyone like to make an offer for the scratchplate?
14. Mostly, we rehearse without a mic for the singer. If we can't hear her, we're too loud. I recommend it.

16. I bought Ash's T-40. No issues at all, a good transaction. This is the second time I've dealt with him and I'd happily do so again. Thanks
17. Yes please (OK, I'm on the list after Wooks. Not sure who's before that...
