1. Okay, what is this? It looks very Westone Thunder 1, but not named and the headstock is a little different. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bass-Guitar-make-unknown-/231291602812?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item35da0dc77c
2.
That's a strap button very usual on old basses.
Ahh, thank you. Of course it is...
3. Wow. Jaw-dropping.
4. I see that the string tree seems to be run right through the headstock to another on the back. That looks weird. Is it normal for basses of that age?
5.
That's great, but then does anyone know of a mini forklift device that can get the cab into the car? I nearly kill myself trying to do this on my own.
I believe these are called "drummers".
6. Working on 'A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square' at the moment. I don't think the words have held up well, but the tune is great
7.
Could you just not put a thumb rest on the bass you have in a comfy position for you?
This.
8.
Can't speak about the bass but I've had two Adam Black acoustics and they're stunning value for money. Have a free bump
Thanks
9. Second dibs please - just in case.
10. Too many strings... Have a free bump anyway
11. I think it's a travel bass, I'm sure Playaway Guitars sold these for a bit. Can't remember the name, sorry.
12. Stu and I traded basses, his SRX430 for my Mondial Classic. Good comms, promptly sent, well packed, and all as described. I'd happily deal with him again. Thanks Stu
13. Some interest, but nothing yet agreed.
14.
This this this this this. Best thing I ever learned as a musician.
I think I'm probably quoting you... so thank you
15. I bought a stand from Nige and have nothing but good things to say. No hesitation in dealing with him again. Thanks
16. Welcome aboard Interesting username...
17.
Get some sleep, wake up with new zeal and carry on.
Now here I have to agree. Dream-time is important.
18. Flatwounds?
19. I do like the Axstar
20. The look is clever, the way it ties the body shape to the fan-frets and pup angle. But I don't like it; too angular and leaning too much on the visual. Looking good (whatever that means) is far too often a cover for poor function.
21. I don't like it, it's too loud. If it was shell pink, I'd like it
22. Learn backwards. Learn the last part of a piece first; then the bit before it; and so on. That way you're always going from hard stuff to easy, and you don't fall into the trap of never getting to the end.
