I don t think makes a difference to you sell . If i sell my instrument for £1000 and the buyer then decides to sell it for £1500 is up to them . I wouldn't t buy it but for some people the same instrument might be worth much more . Lots of people are not members here so they rather buy a bass on ebay or online shops.

Or just sand down the pickguard spray some plastic primer and spray it black

Hi sorry for the lack in reply , Ill upload some stuff in the next couple of days .... I use a pair of akg k702
