1.
SX Precision Bass for sale. Really nice precision copy in sunburst with tort scratchplate. Plays really nice and sounds the dogs nuts with the Wizards. Pics are here *I've used the previous owners pics - I hope you don't mind Legion... Its in good nick, I've never gigged with it, used to it to record a couple of times and thats it. Its been sat here, gathering dust. I'm looking for £125. Sorry, really don't want to post this as its collection only. I'm not interested in trades either, unless you've got a Peavey JSX you're flogging.
Nice! My dad lives in Rayleigh daaan the A13. Would you drive out his way a bit? LC
2. Hi Guys, I have two squiers a new VMJ which doesn't make the Amp buzz and a '96 P which does...any ideas? Cheers, LC
3. Can't seem to get the link to work???. Anyway you all know about these. It's a nice bit of kit, great for rehearsals and small gigs and you won't do your back in carrying it about. These are £200 new and this one hasn't seen any action. Nice Christmas Pressie for someone. Feel free to make me an offer or trade for project Bass. LC
4. An absolute bargain. Wish I had the cash. This won't be here long! LC

10.
Playing shows is cool - low input high return stuff (except this one which is high input). I like doing them for the reading practice but couldn't do them all of the time like some do. But this is a challenge so I will enjoy it.
I know what you mean. I have done countless shows (on Cello not Bass) and there is a certain amount of pressure to perform well (It's called musicians union rates). The 'dots' vary enormously in difficulty, as indeed the quality of the copies, most originals are handwritten and then copied! Some of the stuff will be a breeze to sight read, I'm thinking 'The King and I' and others a bloody nightmare, thinking 'Parade'. After two band calls and a week of it though you've got the thing well and truly nailed and go to bed every night humming the catchier tunes (which is irritating when your'e knackered). I haven't done JCS, but love him or hate him ALW is a master in this genre! Good luck with it LC
11. As usual, the sight of a USA P in this particular colour/condition gives me trouser issues! It's a beaut and at a very fair price - good luck with the sale. LC
12. Ah yes of course.....LemonCello is more about my 'cello playing that an Italian digestivo!
13. Cheers Keiran, Amalfi Coast??? I'm from Cardiff via Essex......no-where near Barry Island! Gary
14. Hi Froggy, How old is the Amp and is the 15" the Celestion? Might just drive over the bridge and get this if as Leslie Crowther used to say "the price is right" Thanks, LC
15. Cranes have just had a lot of stock in which isn't represented on their website. Lot's of squiers, fenders, epi's etc and Hudson, their own brand. Gamlins have a good but limited stock - Cort, Fender, Squier etc. Cardiff guitars only carry second hand basses in the shop but are worth a look depending what you are after. They have inexpensive beginner stuff to vintage Fenders. Simon also knows what he's talking about and is a great guy to deal with. LC
16. Lovely basses these. I owned a black one back in the early '80's that I bought in New Zealand. Sooo wish I'd kept it. Good luck with the sale! LC
17. John Entwhistle (Simply a legend) Neil Murray (Whitesnake - A bit 'dated' these days but listen closely to Neil's basslines and you will be pleasantly surprised) John Paul Jones (Another Bass legend, although JPJ wins first prize for worst hairdo in a public place for his appearance in The Song Remains the Same - utterly bouffant)!! LC
18. Thanks for all the info guys, really appreciate it. I did have the matchstick trick in mind tbh but interesting that they might be too soft! Cheers, LC
19. Bought some Shaller strap locks for my Squire P. The new screw is too skinny for the hole made by the old screw. Trying a fatter screw doesn't work as it won't fit through the hole in the strap lock? Any ideas peeps? Frustrated of Cardiff
