1. Pm'd Mark. Thank-you
2. Nice Bass at a nice price! This should go quickly LC
3. I've just bought one of these on here for similar money. It's a good Amp, nice and loud and built like the proverbial brick s*#t house! Get some castors on it though as it's a bit of a lump, makes all the difference. Whoever buys it will be pleased! LC
4. Beautiful condition this. Has the body been repainted? Pity I've just ordered a Roger Waters coz this one looks the part! Good luck LC
5. I know where you're at. I got told last Thursday that my Job is now 'at risk'...poncy term for "you're out the door shortly son". Good luck with the sale, that's both beautiful and historic. Might be nice to hear about it's history (if you know) who might have played it etc etc LC
6.
MB1. ..."Manchester? ...What? Not Local?" 'ave a BUMP!
Thank 'ee most kindly
7. Already have twins...with a third on the way
8. Tuesday morning bump...pic half way down!
9. Iv'e just ordered one from Dawsons. Will post pics and a review when it arrives. Apparantly (according to Dawsons) Fender have been a bit slack in supplying guitars this year. All their 2010 models are gonna turn up next year?? Prices for the RW P vary but Dawsons are doing it for a very reasonable £539. Beware of VAT increase for orders next year. LC
10. Thanks Dude.
11. That does look nicer than the Roger Water's I've just ordered!!
12. Interesting thread this. Having just read it in it's entirety (yeah I know I should get out more), it seems just to boil down to how the thing feels in your hands and the sound you prefer. I'm hardly qualified to comment owning a VMJ and a Squier P, but I have just ordered a Roger Waters P so it will be interesting to compare and contrast. I do think that the way a guitar is set up makes all the difference. I can get my P just the way I want it but for some reason I can't quite manage it with the VMJ. Off topic, I was browsing in my local music shop today and saw a '73 Jazz all original, in fact it looked like it had never been played. Price, a cool £3,300!!! You'd hope it was one of the better made ones for that! Beautiful bound fingerboard. One day... LC
13. Bump for a christmas bargain
14. Having found out that I'll have to wait for a Roger Waters P, I was wondering if anyone has a Gibson SG? I know the two basses are like chalk and cheese but I do kinda like 'em. Cheers, LC
15. Given into my GAS and gone and ordered one. I'll post some pics and a review just as soon as it arrives! LC
16. Tee Hee....I'm so glad this sort of thing doesn't just go on in Orchestra's. I've spent the past 20 years or so playing 'Cello in Orchestras putting up with the Ego thing. People thinking they are better than they actually are and wanting to sit in the best positions! I'm lucky since I switched to Bass in that the band I am in are all the same age, all like the same stuff and were not precious about anything....although having said that I wish the Lead Retardist would play some rockier stuff See, you cant win!
17.
I'd be interested to know how many of us sing as well as play bass. Particularly interested in front men....the Phil Lynott's of this world. I can sing fine when strumming chords on my six string. It gets more interesting when you have a bassline that has no 'pattern' to it. I.E. you cant switch-off and do your vocal. LC
That'll be front men AND Women of course!

19. Ashdown 100W mini-rig any good?? LC
20. Arctic Bump I may let this go for £100 if someone wants to come and collect it or I'll drive a reasonable distance in exchange for some petrol money. Thanks, LC
21. If this is a 'minter' it'll only increase in value.
22. Blimey, I'd definately have bought this had I not got hold of someones old Peavey 300 on here. This is an absolute steal. LC
