2. Is this still here??? Awesome instrument for the money... LC
3. Nice price, Nice Bass, Good Luck LC
4. Iv'e just taken delivery of a MEX Roger Waters Artist which I got out of its box only last night. Haven't had much time to do anything with it yet but first impressions are good. I ordered the bass from Dawson's and I found all the guys I dealt with there to be knowledgable and extremely helpful. A real delight to do business with. I agree with all the above advice, try lot's of different basses because quality does vary throughout. If you find one that you really love in a shop, haggle. My local shop had the RW up for £767 and when I walked out the door told me I could have it for £583!!!! Got it from Dawsons for £40 less than that again. On a similar note, I bought a Squier 50th Anni Precision from here a little while ago for £100 and I absolutely love it. It's just a very personal thing. Cheers CD_ David. Good luck with your search. LC
5. That is a lovely thing Tom. Love the bound neck and inlays. She'll make someone a very good wife! Good luck LC
6. My dad lives in Benfleet....Sandown Rd to be precise... Have a big Sarfend Bump... I'm from the more gentile Great Wakering myself...where we all ate turnips! LC
7. At last...it's arriving tomorrow
8. Mine STILL hasnt arrived from Dawsons! My local shop in Cardiff - Cranes has just had two in and I was twanging one of them not an hour ago. Likes:

Brass nut, helps get that 'punchy' sound and rare on a mid price Bass these days.

Wide neck profile. Nice amount of room between the strings.

SDQP PUP's nice fat warm sound.

Finish looks and feels good. Dislikes:

There is a rather 'garish' brick in the wall logo on the scratchplate film - very cheesy

PUP's are missing the 'basslines' logo????. Just look like standard PUP's to me. Feels nice and plays well, can't wait for mine to 'effing turn up! LC
9. BARGAIN!!!!
10.
Given into my GAS and gone and ordered one. I'll post some pics and a review just as soon as it arrives! LC
That'll be no then! Still hasn't turned up BTW. Ordered from Dawsons before Christmas! LC
11. Just seen that every guitar shop in the land is selling these. Has there been skimping on the parts or buiild quality cos they are iro £750? Any ideas, anyone tried one? Asking because my Roger Waters Artist STILL hasn't turned up!! LC
12. +1 to the above. I have two Squiers, a vintage modified jazz and a 50th anniversary precision. Both are extremely well put together and you won't find a bad word about them on here. You will however find a fair few for sale at good prices by fellow bass players who are not looking to fleece anyone. I have bought and sold several basses and amps on here people are very good to deal with. Good luck with finding your first bass. LC
13. Thanks for all your comments chaps. Haven't got dimmer switches on lights and it does sounds like a dodgy solder somewhere. The Amp is an old Peavey 300, but it doesn't buzz with my new VMJ. I think I'll be in the market soon anway for a new(er) and light(er) Amp than the Peavey. Still waiting for my Roger Waters P to arrive. Thanks Again LC
14. Had this exact model and colour back in the day. Great basses Good Luck! LC
15. Whoever got this Bass should be highly impressed with both the quality and the price! Sorry your having to sell your Bass gear Marty, but good luck with your family. LC
16. That's a nice piece of tree! Can't see it being here long at that price. Good Luck LC
17. Is it the 300W or 450W? Thanks LC ...or am I being a plank
18. Bottom clenchingly outstanding that is! Wish I had the loot...good luck LC
19. Hiya Tommy, Will this fit my (soon to be delivered) Mex Roger Waters 'P' do you reckon? Cheers, Gary
20. Very tempted to come take this off your hands Neil. I am to be made redundant end of this month and might knock the rough edges off my cheque on this! Cheers, Gary
21. Update on this. The '96 P makes the Amp buzz but the buzz diminishes when I touch the bridge. The jack socket is also crackly when I 'jiggle' the pin in it. Any more ideas? Just wondering whether the jack socket has a dry solder joint? Cheers, LC
22.
I think it's spot on- I think he's sh*te. No balls, technique or swing. I regularly play with drummers who blow him in every single way.
Not the best turn of phrase Doddy! think you probably mean't 'blow him away' !!!
23. Redundancy money due at the end of January. If this is still around then, I may join you for a cream tea and some scrumpi....I hope that's not overly stereotypical ! LC
24. Just bought one of these on here for the same money. Good kit, bulletproof, loud and heavy. Get some wheels on it and you'll be fine! LC
25. I have a Roger Waters Artist on order to cheer me up after hearing that I'll be made redundant in the new year! Happy Days! LC
