  1. In actual fact, there are quite a few things sadder than the tears of a clown.
  2. Japanese people think that albums such as The Wall, Dark Side of the Moon and Obscured by Clouds were written by a homosexual psychoanalyst.
  3. Contrary to popular belief, Bryan Ferry does not take cars across stretches of water. As I discovered to my chagrin 5 years ago, and now I have a criminal record and Bryan has a bad back.
  4. Interesting....
  5. And Id like to take the other two items if I may? pm sent
  6. Im pretty much convinced I think now mate tbf, ta for the advice
  7. I have to ask about the ebanol then, how are you finding it?
  8. Kodiakblair - Im very close top pulling the trigger on one of these 4 stringers, Can you tell me does it have side dot position markers on the neck please?
  9. hmmmm........do I or do I not? that is the question
  10. Surely every note that you play on this would be sharp?
  11. I hope its a leftie else all the fuel will spill out soon as its played
  12. No, of course you don't need it. And your wife doesn't need any more shoes
  13. Oddly enough was just looking at their site this evening. Could see me ordering a few basses off there TBH
  14. Excellent - Cheese and Grain in Frome, very professional venue. Crowd not as large as Id like but that's promotion issue. All in all a very good gig
  15. Play all my gigs on a £100 Squier PJ with a little of Klogons magic inside, and a £75 Westfield B*st*rd that I defretted with a blunt hacksaw and a bolster. No-ones complained yet
  16. An excellent gig was had at the Concorde2 in Brighton, several band faux ups but rallied and saved magnificently ( and luckily on more than one occasion lol) A fairly large and enthusiastic crowd reminded us of exactly why we do what we do. I hope we can play there again. And of course, Dave Grohl and his cohorts graced that same stage less than a week before, I did seriously consider licking it at one point
  17. I take it he isn't known for speeding thru his builds then?
  18. I know your pain
  19. Id go with that. Ive gone (via a 10 year break) from metal to kate Bush. Certainly broadened my horizons a bit lol
  20. I had the pleasure of catching Big Countrys set at Upton Sunshine Festival last night, and was suitably blown away, they were awesome. Much props go to vocalist Simon Hough, who somehow manages to capture something of Stuart adamsons style whilst still keeping his own. anyway, Derek Forbes (who looked cool as in his kilt lol) was playing a P bass, in a finish I didn't recognise. Mirror scratchplate, it looked the business. I found this vid and its the same bass, difficult to make it out though - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXJvm21DQ00&feature=youtu.be Anyone able to tell me much about it? cheers
  21. Took a break for a decade, enjoying rediscovering my favourite instrument as we speak
