Great basses, the Vintage Tony Butler Sig, great set up there @doomed

Just got in from a gig with the punk covers band that I play guitar for. Was good tho sparsely populated, but those in the pub enjoyed it. Had the inevitable continual request for something we don’t do, Arctic Monkeys this time, which then changed to Irish music. Ah yes we can help there, and proceeded to play Suspect Device by Stiff Little Fingers. Said requester not happy, you just can’t please some people!

I had one and aside from one incident where the valve got a little dislodged (so I used the SS side for that gig) it was a great amp.

A cross between Terminator, Predator & Alien.

I had the same rig, was immense.

Still with me, unlike everything else I had at the time of my post as above. It’s now done a good few Rebellion Festivals, a further two albums and a few European tours. It’s now strictly home use only tho, means too much to me to take it out of the home.

Most painful performance was my first ever gig, which was on lead guitar and lead vocals. Being young (16) even I had bags of energy back then so had a tendency to walk around the stage when playing. Not ideal when you’re meant to be singing through a mic on a mic-stand. This brought much amusement from the audience, the majority of whom I was at school with, so the next day at school was a difficult one. But none of those laughing had the balls to get up there & do it. I did.

Just bought ticket to see Motley Crue & Def Leppard at Wembley in July.

As you like the GK sound I’d look at their MB amps. Want a small portable & powerful cab, well Barefaced, GR and LFSys (our very own @stevie) all produce these types of cabs and would get a lot from a GK MB200 or 500.

No it’s not an April Fools joke, we really are at The Lord Haig punking it out at around 9ish.

Yes I did, at the end of the rehearsal I didn’t have anywhere near as much fatigue on my back as I usually do, really pleased about this.

I get a pretty much identical Marshall sound from my Bluguitar Amp1 which is a tad smaller and lighter than a regular sized lap-top. It makes Class D bass amps look large, cumbersome and heavy. In my old band the guitarist had one of these as a backup and A/B`d against his JCM900 the only difference we could hear was in the controlled feedback, the JCM performing more nicely on this aspect. I love the Marshall sound, but I`m at a point where I can`t even lift a Marshall valve amp head, let alone carry one. Thankfully other brands can give the sound I want, just a shame that Marshall themselves haven`t developed something similar.

I had an issue with my RM500, no output at all. Rang Ashdown and Dave very patiently reminded me of the Headphones button on the rear panel. I’m sure they’ll sort it for you @Grezza 1
