  1. I suspect he could have asked for any colour he wanted

Can you recommend a good compressor?
  3. +1 Ibanez SR505 and you'd save a stack of cash
  4. Gutted I didn't check this chat yesterday. I had my heart set on one of these for my 50th this year - decided this would be more interesting than a 1973 Jazz. That and we cover Rio and this would be a cool thing to do that on.

    New UA comp pedal

Litterally just got an email from Andertons - I'm guessing its this one? https://www.andertons.co.uk/brands/universal-audio/uafx-pedals/universal-audio-uafx-max-preamp-dual-compressor-pedal

    Neural Quad Cortex

Love it. How did you find somewhere to plug it in out there?!
  7. Price reduced this weekend to £1,275 - be quick before it goes. I think this has to be the best value QC in the UK.
  8. I'm thinking about selling my Quad Cortex which has only seen very light home use. I purchased new in late January from Andertons so its less than 3 months old - I'll include the original sales receipt so you will retain the benefit of the remaining 3 year Neural warranty. Reason for selling is that it just doesn't get the use that I planned on giving it and I don't have the time or the focus to invest in getting the most out of it. It's updated to the latest 2.0 OS and has all the latest features. It comes with the branded gig bag whish is robust and practical. I also purchase a new PSU as a spare which is brand new and unopened. Comes complete with all original packaging and all in immaculate condition. Price include postage to the UK - will ensure this is shipped fully insured - or happy to drive a reasonable distance to drop off or meet up. I'll reset to factory and unlink from the Neural profile once sold. Would consider trade for Cali76 TX or Noble Pre-amp with cash in either direction respectively. I've taken 20% off the new price to give what should be a decent opportunity for someone looking to buy one. Thanks 🙂
  9. Had one of these paired with an ABM 600. Cracking cabs.
  10. I think Scott would like to pitch to as many people as he can. And rightly so. The whole part of segmenting tuition and accelerator courses is to reach people that might not otherwise have been interested or relevant to the contact. I'm sure that if he launched a Double Bass Accelerator with a leading player, there might be a few people on here who would be very interested, as an example. The more people that SBL has in its network and community, the more content can be released and the higher the value of those customers to new content and other companies.
  11. I'm a lifetime SBL member and have also bought one of the Accelerator programs. All in, maybe cost me the price of a half-decent bass. The challenge is on my to find the time to get into all the content - just knowing its all there for me is helpful but ulimtately it comes down to me be willing to invest the time. I haven't so far but I'm sure it will happen.....and I do genuinely believe it will be worth the money.
  12. Congrats Ander - my son is leaving uni this year so I’m preparing for the reverse 🤪. As everyone has said, thinning the herd is a lovely problem to have as you prepare for the the new arrival. You can’t chose your family but you can chose your bass collection ….. and basses are easily replaced.
  13. Lovely bass and great playing - loved the grove at 5:35 👍 GLTWS

    What bass?

Definitely ^ this one -looks really nice.
  15. Just don’t read it literally - it’s a giant metaphor for the path of discovering and attaining a spiritual relationship with music. It’s got a great technical breakdown of the elements of music and how they interact and their importance. I like his (one of his many) philosophy that you don’t play and instrument, you play music.
  16. Bought a bass from Ian. He went well out of his way to meet me at some services on the M40 and had a really lovely chat with him. Wonderful gent and great company. The bass was perfect and I’m delighted. Thanks 👍
  17. OMG. It's Pancake Day next week (21st). That really crêped up on me.

  18. Just listening to this on Audible - it's really quite interesting and I'm really enjoying it. I think having it narrated by VW himself brings it to life massively and I can see that if you are reading from a book it might be wierd. I'm loving the vibe and thinks it conceptually very clever and it already making me think about my playing in a different way.
  19. Well, since you mention it, maybe the coupe d'etat would be getting Macca?
