  1. Yes, the laws of physics have been re-written. Miss out at your peril 😜
  2. I didn’t even know that BG Sig was a thing. Just looked it up and it looks fab. Still has bass and treble adjustments, but tucked away, so set and forget. Plus, has the distortion circuit. Would love to try that out.
  3. Yes, me too. I will have a Zon one day.
  4. Don't know about the wood, but the Evening Orchid/Burgundy Mist/Whatever it is Colour bass sounds and looks sweet.
  5. @waveydavy - I know someone who may be interested in this. I’ll message him now.
  6. @prowla - I agree. My point wasn’t about whether this forum could assist the aggrieved parties, it was about not assisting the defence.
  7. I’ve said it before but I’ll re-iterate it anyay, whether this forms part of the evidence or not, the thread still forms part of disclosure, as the defence could argue it may assist them in some way. The fact that there are comments on the thread that suggest some posts have been edited and/or modified by Admin/Mods makes it even more complicated. The defence could request any redacted information in the belief it could assist them. It won’t, but it doesn’t stop them making an application.
  8. I wouldn’t worry about that. Collusion usually becomes an issue when more than one individual gives the same account regarding one specific act to strengthen the evidence in that offence. It’s generally not multiple individuals giving the same account about similar acts. Each act will be judged on its own merits and backed up by its unique evidential trail.
  9. Not guilty either.
  10. I would if I played fretless 😂
  11. Out of interest, what is the daily reaction limit?
  12. Stack knob ‘61 Jazz in sunburst.
  13. It does sound weird, but I think he's been there and done the commission build thing and if he was still taking orders, he would have more work that he's prepared to do. He now builds what he wants to build in the knowledge that they will sell. I don't see a list of unsold basses on his web site.
  14. Yeah, if it happens it happens. I'm not losing sleep over it.
  15. Yes, I think I'm on the list. John has the spec for my bass on file and has promised to contact me if any of his builds look like they're going in the desired direction. I've not heard anything yet and that was last August.
  16. £1830 delivered. It's certainly the right ball park. I think I'd want to shave a bit off that, but it's probably priced for a haggle. Now the mother-in-law has moved to Norwich, I have no excuse to visit Lincolnshire 😂
  17. Has to be worth a punt on here mate. I've had some right results with buyers close to me or willing to travel a bit/meet half way. Definitely cheaper than losing 15% on a commission sale.
  18. I had one bass once. It was about 45 years ago and immediately prior to that I had no basses 😎.
  19. Just realised I didn’t actually post a picture of my Limelight in this thread. The full unedited version is here, but the brief version is I wanted a John Deacon alike P bass in the finish (stripped) that he was using it for the Live Aid gig. I know I mentioned I had a spare Flea neck which I was going to use in my Limelight build, but I ended up using that for my own self build bitsa J which you can see here. On with the photos....
  20. Oh dear. This (normally as a thread) never ends well 😂
  21. I can’t help either, but likewise, this was part of my childhood too. My Dad was a big James Last fan. He took me to see James Last at the Royal Albert Hall (I think 😬). I bet he had some Percy Faith in his collection as well? ‘Theme from a Summer Place’ was a popular selection.
  22. Oldman UPDATE - One of our own is in ICU. For those that have been following Brian's thread (and for those that haven't) spare a moment to drop in on his thread and send him best wishes.

Brian’s thread has been a bit of an inspirational read some days... the humour never stops despite the gravity of the situation. I really do hope he’s out soon
