  1. Ben Selleck, keys player in ChangesTwoBowie, has just released his first single and it’s currently #3 in the UK Country Chart. Have a listen and if you like it, £0.79 well spent if you ask me. Let’s see if we can get it higher. Different Sides (Of the Same Coin) - Single by Ben Selleck
  2. I think I would agree with you there as far as the 'Terror' line is concerned.
  3. Fad to me suggests something comes, is very popular (sometimes inexplicably so) and then goes. Barefaced are doing pretty well and grown as a company. Also, I think including Jon Shuker in a ‘gear fad’ list is a little insulting. Possibly Celinder too, but I don’t know much about them. The 4/5 string debate will go on forever. Sue Ryder basses and and that company I cannot pronounce, yeah, I’ll agree with you there.
  4. Yes, indeed. One of the best tribute bands name ever. Always makes me smile when I think of it.
  5. ….but Fortunate Son trumps anything The Eagles have done. In fact, that album ‘Willy & The Poor Boys’ is a cracker.
  6. Nice to know it’s fairly shallow. Do you know what the nut width and weight is?
  7. Future Impact? Seemed to be a whole lot of people getting them and then selling them some time later. Plus a few p’d off Deep Impact owners who had to drop their prices 😂 Still have my Future Impact though. That reminds me, I must update it to V 3.0.
  8. Creedence all day long for me. Every time I hear the Eagles on the radio I can hear The Dude complaining 😂
  9. Lovely looking bass @sgh. What’s the neck spec?
  10. Are you sure it's feedback you are hearing? I suspect it's probably not unless you're playing at volume right in front of the speaker enclosure.
  11. I think that deserves a full instrument photo 😀
  12. Yes and I’ve been close to buying one or two 😂. Doesn’t bother me tbh.
  13. You’re probably right in respect of some gigs i.e. those where the punters don’t get to speak with the band before/afterwards, but the people that I’ve spoken to that have asked about my ‘vintage Precision’, I’ve directed them towards Limelight. I would be more than happy to have a Limelight with their logo, or a Bravewood with theirs or a Nash with theirs.
  14. Calm down mate. It’s a bit of wood with a sticker on it.
  15. Amusingly, a recent ad for my Limelight Precision was pulled by one of the popular FB bass Marketplace Groups whilst at the same time was approved by a couple of others. When I asked why, they said it was because they were worried about action from Fender. They had received communication from them in the past apparently. Accepted that you could probably removed it if you wanted to, by at least Limelight put a fairly obvious and indiscreet mark on the rear of the headstock to show what it is. I also found a similar mark in the neck pocket when I took it to bits yesterday. I have absolutely no problem with it as long as people aren’t doing it to deceive for financial gain. The only reason I had mine done is that I wanted a natural P which I could find anywhere and I wanted a J neck on it. I found a Fender CS that kind of fit the bill, but it was over £4K!
  16. I think Zappa did it a couple of times. I seem to remember Arthur Barrow and Patrick O’Hearn performing together.
  17. GLWTS = good luck with the sale 👍 EDIT: D’oh - snap 😂
  18. PM’d you @Moos3h
  19. Is anyone here close enough to Bass Direct that they could pop in and have a look at something for me?
  20. The one that was listed on eBay just sold for £1,900 🤷‍♂️
  21. It’s very seldom that the gig rig makes an appearance indoors, but Mrs.H is at work and I have to keep eyes out front for a delivery for one of our neighbours, so I thought I would set it up and put the Smoothie through it. It does not disappoint!
  22. Yep, there is that as well. I've stayed in the Rickenbacker FB group just for comedy value. Same goes for the Fleetwood Mac FB group who seem to think that Stevie Nicks is the greatest female singer ever 🤷‍♂️.
