Not enough information to compute an answer I’m afraid. Budget/sound/desired spec etc all have a part to play here. FWIW - If I had the budget for a new Mayones, I wouldn’t buy one. Plenty more fish in the sea. The one I had didn’t stay long.

Veering slightly off topic I know, but a nice little video narrated by Hugh Syme regarding the creation of the art for Permanent Waves. Love the bit about the storm photographer strapping himself to street furniture. Bonkers.

Pubs opening July 4th - Gigs?
hiram.k.hackenbacker replied to ClassicVibes's topic in General Discussion
Yes, I’ve since learnt there are some doing roadside pints. It was just a little odd in that I spent a good few hours walking around London yesterday waiting for my mate to have an MRI. I passed loads of pubs and there wasn’t one that was open - apart from the one I passed on the way out. -
James Last...memories of childhood

I know very little about him, but looking at the 2002 clip, how did he among to afford to pay so many musicians so well? Presumably his album sales will have helped, but man, there's a lot of people up on that stage. -

Ooh, this brings back some memories. My Dad had quite a few of his albums. I don't remember ever hearing Silver Machine though - headphones on. I'll be back later 😉 -
Pubs opening July 4th - Gigs?

Just drove back from that their London and there was a pub open serving with builders (pints in hand) outside. Wasn't quick enough to note the name of it as I was a bit taken aback at the sight in the first place - and I was trying to turn left at the same time 😎 -
I don’t think the 80’s were any better or worse than any other decade really. I don’t see a duff one in the list you’ve posted. I could post a list of stuff I don’t like from the 80’s, but someone would be along in due course saying one was the best song ever, therefore pointless for me to do so. There are quite a few there that get squared away into Ska band territory and don’t necessarily marry up with traditional 80’s cheese. I play a few of them in my 80’s band, but can’t see us adding Long Shot anytime soon. Great lists and great idea, but I don’t see it as thankless - more of a challenge. There’s a few in there that aren’t bass for beginners.

It’s Inca silver. It’s a lovely matte finish as well, which was a nice surprise when I collected mine.

Ah, maybe it was the tuners you mentioned somewhere. It looks lovely. Enjoy 👍 -

I seem to remember that the specs are slightly different to a standard CS Sig? Or am I thinking about someone else’s bass? -

🤢🤮 - stale cigarette smoke smelling items. One of my least favourite things ever. -

I agree. I get a little nervous when I have something decent for sale on there, but for the most part, after 1000's of transactions, I've had very few serious issues. Less than 10 I would say. My feedback is getting up towards the 2000 mark, but because of the complete apathy of 95% of buyers, my feedback doesn't reflect the amount of transactions I've had. I have 42 items awaiting feedback at the moment and I'll be surprised if more than a couple bother. -

Did she pay via Paypal? Their help pages state 180 days to raise a dispute. I wonder if that's what confused me? -

I just flippin' searched for that and couldn't find it 😂. Well done mate. Mine was just under 30 days. Far too long in my opinion and even then and it didn't come to anything fortunately. Looks like @Old Horse Murphy can tell her to do one - officially. -

I don't think that's right mate. I have items in my purchase history that still have the 'return' tab available. My oldest one is from 21/4/20. I think it may well be 60 days. -

I'm not an eBay expert, but it may not be as plain sailing as it would seem from your point of view. I won't bore you with the details, but I had a similar experience recently (+ve feedback received and then a message of complaint after some time - slightly less than yours). I spoke to eBay in person and they indicated that if the buyer were to take it further and demand a refund that they would probably get it as 'item not as described'. I was not a happy bunny. As it turned out, the seller didn't take it further, partly due to my insistence that the defect was caused by them. I managed a small victory with eBay with the agreement that if the buyer did take it further and they refunded them that ebay would then also refund me as a gesture of good will (I was seething during my initial phone call). This was a fairly low cost item though and eBay wanted to keep everyone happy. I can't see them going that far for the price of a sax though. I really hope it doesn't end badly for you. We all know you're a decent chap and you certainly don't deserve this crap. -
Thanks. I've had a few Stingrays and this is a cracker. I haven't shared this with anyone yet, so you're the first to hear it outside the band, but this is what it sounds like recorded.

The Sledge is a seriously sexy bass. Slab body and mine is fitted with flats. It usually goes out as a back up to 'Marilyn'. I say back-up; I usually always end up playing it anyway cos it's just so nice.

I made my own which I use in my Bowie Tribute.

Likewise. Glad it was found. That's pretty $h1tty behaviour by Eurosender and has tainted my view of them (finally @Beedster 😉). Fortunately I have no plans to buy or sell at the moment.
