  1. I’d like to hear them mate.
  2. Has it gone back to @walshy? 😂 Or Hertfordshire?
  3. Sadowsky for me. They look the business.
  4. @prowla - yes, I forgot the new ones have been upgraded haven’t they. Also the AC Sig has a decent one too doesn’t it? The rest of yours are retro fitted tho aren’t they?
  5. This has to be one of the best value for money buys I’ve seen on a bass all day - and I’ve seen a lot of basses today! Good luck with the sale @Frank Blank 👍
  6. I think I’m quite fortunate to be in two bands that don’t come with a load of drama, so I’m really looking forward to getting back to gigging, whenever that may be. If anything, I’ve enjoyed the break. It’s allowed me a space to be ‘bass free’, which although my brain initially fought against, it was worth doing. After I had properly chilled out and stopped worrying about all the gigs that were getting cancelled, I was then able to reset and pick up a bass again and enjoy it even more than I did before. I have a feeling that the comeback is going to be slow and long winded, a bit like getting a start up band gig ready. In respect of the OP - go with what you feel is the best for you. No one is going to judge you for not gigging. Life is too short.
  7. Ha ha. NO NO NO. It's the only Rickenbacker with a decent bridge 😂
  8. Oi 😂. I was just playing mine only yesterday. I’m pleased to see they have gone up in value, but even I have to say that is a tad ambitious.
  9. In jest of course @AndyTravis. In all probability it will be neither. I'm after a nice P at the moment and I really don't need another J. I'm wrestling with the idea of moving on a couple of Stingrays, but I had them out today and I can't bring myself to part with any of them. Such is life.
  10. Nope. That's flippin' horrid. Wouldn't give it houseroom. Way overpriced for what it is. I recommend no-one buys one. (he says searching through phone contacts to message friend who works in well known guitar emporium 😂)
  11. Ah, see, I did choose my words carefully. I didn't say that Status, I said a Status 😂.
  12. Ha ha. Tell you what, you send that Marcus Miller over to me and I’ll send you a Status 😜
  13. Found an old photo of it....
  14. It is indeed. I should have taken a full length photo 😬
  15. It's bleak drizzly day in Essex, so I decided to go right to the back of 'the room' and say hello to a few friends I haven't seen in a while. I had forgotten what a lovely bass this early Empathy is. It was my #1 back in the day, before I got hooked on Stingrays, but still plays like a dream. It has an almost unbelievably low action with no buzz and can be relied upon to stay tuned. I feel lucky to have stumbled across it when I did.
  16. You may well be right. I’m new to the world of Spector basses having only just taken possession of my first, but the inclusion of the Darkglass pre combined with the price they are asking, could be the reason it’s still there. Nice looking bass tho.
  17. I thought it might be, just thought I would check. Thanks.
  18. Is the headstock colour and back of the neck black or brown?
  19. Bit harsh, but I do wonder what real difference there is between a team built P and a master built P to justify the price.
  20. Thanks for your thoughts Dan. I have an itch for a P and was looking at Moollon amongst others. I wonder if Jon would consider doing one with a slightly narrower nut? It doesn’t actually say in the spec on the site, but I would presume the JJ is mid 43-ish?
  21. I’ve been looking at the Shuker web site this morning and reading the spec on that JJ Carbonlite model. Have you had your hands on one? It’s an expensive way to buy a P bass, but given the weight and balance in its design, the price tag isn’t actually that bad.
