1. I bought Ted's JV Squier P a couple of weeks ago in a super-easy deal. The bass was even better than described, perfectly packed (real attention to detail), and appeared to have been very carefully cleaned prior to despatch - it is spotless. An upstanding member of our community - deal with complete confidence.
2. i had one of these with the chestnut top - very nice basses but the board was far too wide for me. I flogged it (before prices went through the roof unfortunately), bought a pencil necked Alembic and didn't look back. Excellent build on Foderas - this one looks beautiful
3. I'm one of the many on here that have owned this lovely bass - to resppnd to an enquiry above, the neck is very slender and narrow. Worth checking out previous sales posts for further details and provenance
4. If this has absorbed any of littleal's talent, it's worth double. Bump for fantastic, solid pro kit
5. not checked so possibly irrelevant - is this advertised on Alembic Club? Access to a global audience of potential Alembic buyers
6. I used to have a Galuszka J fretless - 'really nice instrument with clear attention to detail
7. Really lovely - took a look at the site and there's some very impressive word-working
8. just sold a strap to Chris - super-rapid payment and excellent communications throughout - a pillar of our community! Thanks Chris
9. For anybody that hasn't had the pleasure, these are lovely to play - super-slick pencil thin neck, very fast and a lot of fun. The core tone is typical Alembic - fabulous depth and complexity with a high level of flexibility from the filters. Only down-side for meis strap placement. Alembic SCDs appear only rarely - good chance for somebody, nice choice of cases too (if you use leather)
10. Love these - very cool and great little players
11. This takes me back to when I used to get excited about basses (nose pushed-up to music shop windows on a Saturday afternoon - a Kay so out of reach it might have been on Mars) - lovely bit of memorabilia
12. I had a Nordstrand P '55 - absolutely beautifully made and up there with the best of the hand-builders. However, it wasn't light (though not heavy either). If you might consider something less traditional, there are a couple of Status Streamlines around on BC - ultra-light and extremely comfortable to play.

Biggest bargain on here for a while!
14. I have both Schaller and Dunlop straplocks and find both easy to use and install. I don't really have a preference and have one strap with the fittings for Schaller, and another with those for Dunlop. If I was to be picky, I'd say that the Dunlop spring clip (for the strap end) can be a bit fiddly, but it's really no big deal and I've found the company to be remarkably helpful - customer care is excellent.
15. Thanks Legion, these really are lovely and I've genuinely not seen anything that comes close. Now £105 shipped in the UK.
16. thanks Ted, hahaha, I'm not sure that's helped at all - want it even more now - great weight and a lovely looking bass.
17. A beautiful bass - just wish I had the dosh. Amazed this is still around - what a cool bargain. Any idea of the body wood?
18. Apologies for a useless post - I have one of these and didn't know it has a fan. If it's just a year old, there may be cover (I'd check the guarantee). I'd suspect AER are good to deal with - its not a cheap product
19.
Hi Lozbass, i buy your US lakland Joe Osborn, remember?
Ahh, I do! A lovely bass and I hope that you're enjoying it. Bump too for another very lovely bass
20. Fantastic price - lovely necks on these. Is the crack in the lacquer only (I can't see it's in the wood)?
