Hi guys, For sale, I also have my 1999 Ken Smith burner 5 string. This bass is awesome, the neck is to die for and the accessibility all over is great. The bass has been set-up with a super low action and when you pick it up it plays itself and Anyone who has a go I'm sure will agree. These older Ken Smiths are great basses and are very well made, they aren't quite on the same level As the newer models as they are generally built with much nicer woods, but you still get everything else. The bass is in incredible condition for its age, but it does have a few dings here and there. I'm not sure when it was done, but I'm sure at some point the bass has been refurbished and changed from the original lacquer/ colour coating and re-finished with a satin beeswax finish. The sound of the bass is really something and projects the typical Ken Smith tone beautifully. Woods. Hi guys, Here for sale is my Sei Melt 2 Singlecut ying yang bass for sale. I'm not sure where to start, But this bass is incredible, it was built in 2006 by the great luthier Martin Petersen of Sei bass for the manager of the shop at the time as a one off Sei ying yang fodera equivalent, which some have said they prefer over the fodera, but I will leave that to preference.. The pictures do not do this bass justice at all, in real life the build quality and dynamics of the bass are really something special and I can honestly say are second to none. I have played many top basses over the years and this bass is just insane to play and really cannot be fully appreciated unless played. It has a super low action without any frettbuzz which is rare outside of top build quality. The bass is a 33" scale over 2 octaves and is really dinky. The way that the bass has been built enables you to reach right into the body without any difficulty whatsoever, so there's no excuses not to use the 24th frett any less than the others If you like to play fast wether it is fingerstyle or slap, then you will not be disappointed, with the pickup ramp, the bass is just so comfy to play. The EQ allows you to go through most basses that are about, you can get that muddy P bass sound, knarly J bass, chordal, delicate fodera sound and even almost a double bass like sound if you play with the EQ and play on the board. It really does kick ass and is a serious bass that would suite any highly professional situation. This bass is the only one that was ever made, it was a one off build and a one of a kind and will always hold a good value, I am selling due to turning to the 5 string darkside and can't justify having such an incredible bass if it's not getting the love and attention it deserves. The bass is the pinnacle of bass porn as I'm sure most of you guys will agree it's a real head turner and I've had many people ask just if they could play it once. I live in Guildford, so coming into London to meet anyone isn't a problem if that makes life easier, alternatively I have a 2x12 markbass at mine to give you full impact should you want a true experience.
