  1. Past hour
  2. Indeed it is. Build thread here.
  3. Ah! I see. Shame about the latency issue! I can understand why you’d choose a hardware option now. I have an aging Mac (well according to Apple it’s old now!) and run many plugins either within a DAW or, like the Cory Wong, stand alone. Latency is negligible. For double bass and electric bass, the EBS Stanley Clark is a nice lil preamp, but I love the Bergantino Super Pre!
  4. Open to offers or trades on this. Could do with the shelf space back!
  5. The Gooleys. Their most famous release being 'You Got Me'
  6. Thanks @PaulThePlug it does have that sort of vibe, but in fact Les Paul created it for Gibson in 1972.
  7. I don't do any deps without prep time and a decent fee (unless there are multiple events I'm needed for with the same band). It saves me hours of short notice stress for little reward and, most importantly, I always like to do the songs (and band I'm depping) with justice....
  8. That's only one step away from cargo shorts! 😁
  9. Fortunately, they aren't changing them on the fly, but they've played 'their' arrangements of some songs for so long. The setlist changes every gig and it seems they have a LOT of songs stashed away that reappear, so each one is learn the basics then get their arrangement.
  10. I feel like a b**** for doing this but you did say...
  11. I've not seen this colour before — looks very good! I have a blueburst longhorn of the same vintage. They're great little basses.

    Darkglass Anagram

Agree! A proper synth block or more modulation blocks would be good. Darkglass listens to user feedback and requests. I hope they line it up in the future. For me, I'm hoping they would add a nice moog block and a 1073 preamp.
  13. One from this stable, it would seem ... Shuker Custom Bass ...
  14. That's an unusual looking bass. Any details welcome. Dave
  15. My last car puncture was from lost screw from a cars inner wing or cow catcher below the engine. Pop into any local garage and they'll keep a stock of them. Easy fix by yourself. Dave
  16. I actually prefer a direct sale, but it always depends. Maybe you can send me your ideas via pm.
  17. I agree with you that it would be great to see effects other than dirt, but I can understand why they've added these. It seems that a common theme when the Anagram was released was that many bass players wanted alternative drive sounds to the typical modern Darkglass sound. These 4 new blocks should keep those people happy for a while.
  18. Your post had me searching for a 4 stringer version. 😂 A bit too much at the moment and probably doesn't fit in with a 70's Glam covers band. Dave
  19. Today
  20. Just updating my Anagram whilst I write this......its great that Darkglass are releasing more blocks, woohoo! It's just a pity that they are all grit / distortion / fuzz / overdrive 😒 There's already quite a selection of these to choose from on the Anagram. I would have thought adding such as a phaser, tremelo, ambient or a "MXR bass synth" type pedal block would have increased the appeal to a wider market. 🤷‍♂️ I hope some more varied blocks are released in the future.
  21. That’s was a very good bass player at work, well done TOP TIP thread your guitar lead through your strap then into bass so if you stand on your lead ( we all do ) it won’t pull hard on the cable and bass jack socket 😉😄
  22. Ha the lure of good money can land one in all sorts of difficulty. I got a call to dep in a 60's/Beatles five part harmony outfit couple yrs back. 60 old tunes Id forgotten all about and Beatles stuff at short notice is very tricky. It was a very good earner but Ive never worked so hard. Dropped a few notes, suffice to say I never heard back and to be fair they were a top draw outfit. Fun tho.
  23. I reckon it's a tube screamer - rhyming with dreamer.
