  1. Past hour
  2. All this talk of Gibson has got me thinking about Epiphone taking some risks. They could do some multiscale 4/5 string RD Artist basses with some weird electronics.
  3. Same with the Ozrics! Excellent gigs...
  4. IMO pretty much any modern bass will be well-made enough to be more than useable for recording. Go and try a load and buy the one that suits you the best.
  5. ⬆️ this….. A Squire CV P is a great choice, but it should be a bass that feels comfortable and sounds good to you. There are SO many options these days, at very sensible prices, I would try a bunch if you can. If you aren’t in a position to try stuff, the Squire is a good gamble.
  6. I used to think the same about Classic FM's 'Hall of Fame' 300. Then I joined a Facebook group for choir members and as the Hall of Fame voting came around there they were - deciding which obscure piece they would all vote for this year and congratulating themselves at last year's success at getting an obscure piece in as a new entry at 180 or something.
  7. Ive managed to find a guitar box, so delivery is now an option

  9. The Vester Chow Mein was infinitely better, IMO.
  10. Weightshaming, seriously?! Come on man, it's 2025!! 😊
  11. Just crunched the first 256 songs. The average year is 1983 (so far) The band with the most is Queen with 13, followed by Black Sabbath with 8 and AC/DC with 8 Rob
  12. I went to Snoop Dogg gig in Nottingham just before the smoking ban. That was like stepping inside a bong. No way did anyone leave that venue unaffected by at least passive intake.
  13. What can I say about this pedal that hasn't already been said? Super cool and unique filter used by Flea and lots of other people. No other filter I've come across sounds quite like this little green beast, and it also does the famous "dub trick" of turning your bass into a subby monster by turning off the sensitivity so the filter doesn't open. It's been well used in it's ~30 year lifetime with a few bumps and scrapes in the finish, but all is working as it should. Somehow the notoriously "difficult to keep hold of" battery door is still intact on this one! No velcro, and rear sticker with serial number still intact also. Really cool pedal that I owned a number of years ago, and wanted to revisit it out of nostalgia! I've had my fun with it here at home, and now it's time to pass it on. Boss to 3.5mm power adaptor included. Looking for exactly what I paid for it from here a few weeks ago: £60. Add a £5er for delivery, or can be picked up from Ickenham NW London.
  14. Yeah, I might as well wish to see the Beatles, really.
  15. Just a post in praise of the TI JR. Obv, not to your taste, and that is cool. But if anyone out there likes a nice, compliant string that is a bit (tiny bit) rubbery/bendy, then this is the set you are seeking.
  16. Still available please?

It might be worth getting the acoustic treatment done before you consider spending serious money on new speakers.
