  1. Past hour
  2. Honestly did not know the song but had to check it out as its Rob Mullarkey. I see you have a search feature on your site. _Hopefully_ sometime in the future we get to see some more from this bassist But thanks for your work man!
  3. I think that may be down to poor camera resolution in low artificial lighting; some of the other gear looks a bit washed out too (Mavis). That aside, what’s the issue exactly? The display is perfectly legible and you can see the foot switches to press them; what more do you need?
  4. May be a while off, we're still at F1-4 VIP methinks? 😅
  5. Yeah, it is epic, wish I could keep it... Thanks!
  6. Screws and washers have now been added from my other donor Sunn Mustang bass.
  7. Yes, absolutely. For that simple reason that the octave strings on an 8 string bass will have lower output than the bass strings. This way the artificial notes can be lower in the mix and sort of hide behind the real once, rather than having the artificial notes be the dominant ones. That said I am not really looking to emulate an 8 string bass, I just happen to like the tone I get from adding an octave.
  8. There is a post in another thread about a courier that will take valve amps without any packaging at all. Possibly cost prohibitive for this but you never know! Cant remember where I saw it unfortunately!
  9. Sensing @Cornwall Steve's GAS is nearing critical levels. I'll try and push it over the edge - form factor which I bang on about with EHB's like these are that I never get back or shoulder problems and the passive mode on my (Ibby) EHB means I never run out of battery after hours in front of the DAW. Also, the price is good on the Sire being £200+ cheaper for the 6er than my Ibby. (I've had it for a couple of years though.) Plus I like playing chords on a bass - there I've said it! And they sound glorious on a 6er.
  10. Just a small point. This is one of the limited edition series, not the the 40th anniversary series that had a special logo and LEDs. More faithful to the originals, almost as rare as the 40th and personally I'd prefer this beauty to one with a 40th anniversary logo on it. If this was in the UK I'd be on the way with cash in hand, after a bit of negotiation 😉. GLWTS, and I hope you feel better soon.
  11. Should be able to offer courier delivery once I source packaging materials
  12. I Was A Prisoner In Your Skull - Swans
  13. should I send you a PM to work out how much you would sell a secondhand FI5 vip to me for? I won't tell HMRC.
  14. Thanks for sharing that! Would you say it performs better at 8 string emulation with high rather than low notes?
  15. For sale is the Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 which has the AUX input as well. Great sounding pedal with amazing ability to sculp both the tone on the preamp side and the distortion on the drive side of the pedal. There is some very impressive sounds that can be had out of this pedal. The pedal comes with the original box and all the goodies that came with it. I bought this pedal 3-4 years ago but the sound is a bit too much for the bands I am in. I was always hoping to use it but it has literally sat in the box the whole time. I had thought I might use it also as an emergency DI for gigs but I have never needed it. Possible pedal trade options would be Origin Effects DCX or IE Frantabit. Possible other option would be towards Bergantino HDN/HD 112 or Mesa Subway 112 cab. If I was playing heavier music this pedal would absolutly be staying. £270, £250 including postage. Bank transfer or PayPal F&F.

  16. Or, if you're desperate for one but haven't been able to get your hands on one yet, start at 4 and work backwards?
  17. I do agree Tom, but without the original packaging, I'd be concerned about sending this out into courier world. I also much prefer potential buyers to confirm they are happy with the item in person before they purchase. However, if a buyer would be prepared to arrange collection by their preferred courier I could source appropriate packaging.
  18. Today
  19. I'll take that as a "yes" then? 😅 I think I'm maybe excused from needing excuses, having bought (and subsequently moved on) 5 of these FIs over several years (starting way back in 2018)? You know, a bit like getting lifelong immunity from having had a course of vaccines? Risk is that HMRC will come after me for trading in FIs...
  20. I recently got this in a trade and as lovely as it is, I could do with generating some cash. USA Musicman Stingray short scale in a gorgeous metallic deep red colour. The bass is very light (3.5kg/7.8lb), is exceptionally well built, feels fantastic and is so easy to play! It comes with La Bella flats fitted and some rounds in the case. It comes with the wonderful scaled-down Musicman hard case that fits the bass perfectly. Collection from Margate, or I can box it up if you'd like to organise a courier.

  21. I think you are right. I’m such a silly goose…….I have changed the advert. I think they are big singles.
  22. I do really like the last voice, sounds sexily expensive - can see that being v useful. Is that off the FI or the Moog? I guess robotic Kraftwerk emulation probably has a bigger market segment in Germany/EU, but I'd still like a demo with a more funk-oriented player, focusing on playability and expression. I know I should be the change I want to see, but the learning curve seems steep in terms of learning the pedal itself alongside video production and YouTube publishing.
  23. I'm with you completely on that one. from where I live it's a struggle to get to Andertons and back in a day. Last time I tried something like that I forked out £140 in rail fares and ended up buying a bass just to justify going (to the wife !😟)
