  2. Who Can It Be Now ? - Men At Work
  3. Still for sale.
  4. Its quite a good venue but it does have a few issues with sound. Difficulties with drums on a drum riser and a hollow wooden stage was causing a lot of very low droning sounds. SE added a gate of some sort to help but it wasn't there during sound check. You seem to get a lot of rebound noise which made it sound as if we had a lot of reverb on things but there was very little being used. It could do with a bit of a tidy up around the stage area and the changing room but its not the worst we've played by any means. To be fair to them they are trying to upgrade a very old building that i'm guessing was an old theatre come picture house come bingo hall and now being changed over to a proper venue. The team working in it last night were pretty good tho and very helpful. Give it a couple of years and it should be a decent gigging venue for touring bands. Dave
  5. Very interesting! There seems to be a few details where yours and @ChrisDev's differ. https://basslessons.be/transcriptions.php?i=349 It would be interesting to listen to your dialogue about the choices you both made with these transcriptions. Just to help us mortals when we try to construct ours.
  6. QSC CP12 Active PA Speaker 1000 Watts One of two - priced individually or for a small discount if sold as a pair. This speaker is as new and has not been used since purchase. It comes with additional QSC waterproof cover for outdoor use. Very powerful speakers however I’m downsizing and selling my larger portable PA gear. Street price is £579 cheapest I can find so this is a good saving. The covers cost an extra £67. The user manual is included. I have two of these for sale. I can knock off £40 if you buy the pair. Pickup definitely preferred but talk to me if this is impossible. UK only. Postage would be at buyer’s cost and I’d need to source packaging as the boxes have been recycled. These speakers get glowing reviews in Sound on Sound magazine - https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/qsc-cp-series I own a pair of QSC CP8s which are perfectly fine for keyboard monitoring and rehearsal PA so these aren’t needed now for personal use. Specifications from QSC below - Features Class-D amplifier with 1000W peak power output Selectable contours (presets) for quick setup Advanced DSP with Intrinsic Correction™ Superior sound quality and speaker protection Directivity Matched Transition™ (DMT) ensures uniform coverage across the entire sound field Suitable for use as a main PA, stage monitor or instrument amplifier 35mm pole mount socket Lightweight and incredibly portable Specifications Configuration: Two-Way Active Low Frequency Driver: 12'' Cone Woofer High Frequency Driver: 1.4'' Compression Frequency Response: 49Hz - 20kHz, -6dB 47Hz - 20kHz, -10dB Sound Pressure Level: 126dB (Maximum) Nominal Coverage: 75° Axisymetric Amplifier Type: Class-D Amplifier Power: 1000W (Peak) Input Connectors: 2 x XLR/TRS Combo (Line and Mic/Line) 1 x 3.5mm TRS Stereo Output Connector: 1 x XLR (Mix) Controls: Power 2 x Gain Mic Boost Push Switch 6-Way Contour Selection Switch Indicators: Power LED 2 x Input Signal LEDs Input B MIC Selected LED Limiter Active LED Power Supply: 100V - 240V, 50Hz/60Hz Enclosure Material: Polypropylene Grille: 18 Gauge Powder Coated Steel Dimensions: 516mm x 350mm x 323mm / 20.3'' x 13.8'' x 12.7'' (H x W x D) Weight: 13.7kg / 30.3lbs

  13. All great CDs btw. I'd grab the lot, except I already have them.

  15. The first time I played keys through a big PA I got a shock at how much low end I had. I backed it off immediately and keep it in check these days.

  20. As per another thread, im getting a bit of interference from my Lektao WS90's under certain conditions, or rather they are causing interference. So ive been looking at the two above. I know a lot of you use the Nux, but im not interested in that as I dont want to carry a case around. I prefer to just throw the thing in my gig bag. Im also not sue I like the auto off feature. Let's not discuss that as im. 100% not going to get those. From the spec I understand the Fender has up to 8 hours from a 2 hour charge, and the Xvive 5. Either is longer than I'll really need, but unto 8 will get me through a rehearsal and a few night home practice. The fender has a quoted lower latency than the others. Any thoughts on either of those mentioned? im leaning towards the Fender, but its a bit more expensive.
  21. Brice Springsteen for the megafan. Concert tours in Europe since 1981. Signed copy. REP £24.99, yours for £12, posted UK.
  22. His latest posthumous release is a double CD and DVD presentation from the Swiss Baloise Festival in 2008. Highlight is Al Kooper’s I Love You More Than Youll Ever Know b Retails at over £20. This is sealed and unplayed, £12 posted UK seems reasonable.
  23. The better the gear, the more noticeable the clash between keys left hand and bass will be. Our keys player recently upgraded his backline to a quality powered PA cab and we suddenly had problems. His old amp simply wasn't capable of reproducing the low end loudly or clearly enough for the issue to be noticed.
  24. Cool and very nice looking room. Daryl
