Behringer Powerplay P2 to Balanced Out - Which XLR Cable?
Mottlefeeder replied to FretsOnFire's topic in Accessories and Misc
Unfortunately I'm wrong - I confused the P2 with the P1. The P2 has one XLR, so in mono, connect it with a standard female to male XLR to a mixer output and you will have a balanced mono mix. For stereo you will need an adaptor to convert two mixer balanced output XLRs into unbalanced feeds that you can then connect (via a two core plus earth mic type cable) to the pins of the XLR feediing the P2 . I don't know if that is available off the shelf, but a simpler option might be to use a TRS jack to XLR male cable and plug it into the mixer headphone socket. David PS sorry for the misdirection. -
I might be simplifying it but as I see it, it is all about the disposal of stolen goods... or at least goods not owned by the seller; rather than counterfeit et al.
-
It looks to be a real bottom-feeder amongst auction houses. Just read the way everything is worded on the website, it's all threatening and warning and fees and BS.
-
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Gazz wasn't a real person, just an AI bot prodding about to see what word combinations get interaction.....or perhaps is a real person doing similar.
-
Yeah, it's such a shame Mark puts the Fender logo on, as that could cause real issues here I feel, not least because the auction house has used the name too.
-
I think you missed my T2 fail after needing to get some wireless IEMs (11th Jan on page 5 of the thread).
-
Basschat award for the detective work. Brilliant. Just be careful that plod doesn't follow the law and dispose of the goods. That would not be a happy ending to this story. Legally standing Wellers is currently selling stolen and counterfeit goods.

Any Sheryl Crow love here?

You typed that as I did above, makes sense, almost like she fills in the gaps of the vocal parts with a bass fill. -

I think bass is her main instrument or has been at times at least, I'm not sure what she instrument favours for writing or coming up with ideas for songs on, maybe all of them at different times. -
I have also emailed, I think it would be of real help if we all did.
-
Good idea. I've done likewise; they can't ignore multiple messages... hopefully.

The mixer output to the P2 input follow the same rules as the microphone output to the mixer input, so a standard male to female XLR do the job. For stereo to your P2, you will need two mic cables and a left and a right output from the mixer. David -

I read somewhere a good while back that she like to write on bass.
-
I hope either Mark or Edlong21 call the police re this.

I've also emailed the auction house just so they have it from multiple sources and don't consider one email to be enough to hold it from sale (which they absolutely should!) Hopefully this gets back in the hands of the owner! I'd still take this up with the Parcelforce CEO email addresses I provided, I'd expect decent compensation is due for the ridiculousness of how this ended up at an auction house! Fantastic spot though...

Yes, but I never knew she played bass, so thanks for that. David

Yes, rock in parallel to the string, including where the string sits specifically as worn spots can affect as well as high frets. Also, make sure your rocker is absolutely true and flat. There's tons of cheap ones on ebay and amazon that fail at their one and only job!

Coming soon (probably tomorrow) to a Kiwi near you - I'll just say that you're going to be mightily impressed! (PM coming this evening too...)

There are 2 pedals I like for this, TC Electronic Spark Booster and Ampeg Scrambler. The TC is very transparent, Ampeg adds a little to the tone but not much. If pushed I’d go Ampeg due to the blend option to keep the solid clean signal in there.

Neds Atomic Dustbin! I'm having an early '90's flashback! At the time I used to share a house with a girl who was one of their friends from Stourbridge. So I got more than my fair share of Neds Atomic Dustbin. Two bass players, one with a Rickenbacker playing the high parts, one with a Stingray holding it down. On paper a really interesting idea, but unfortunately in reality it just sounded like the typical indie-dirge-by-numbers that was so prevalent in those days. I can't remember any of the songs nowadays but I do remember they sold an awful lot of t shirts to students.
