  2. Is that a US thing or does it apply everywhere?
  3. Here's my Markbass cab up for sale. It is in near new condition and includes a Roqsolid cover. The top carpet has a couple of indents where the amp was placed on it. Other than that minor sign of normal use it's as new. It has been used several times at rehearsal at very low volume levels and at one gig where it was only used as a monitor as I was going through the PA. It is a great cab. A real one cab solution weighing approximately 18Kg or 40lbs. I'm 70, under 11 stone, have osteoporosis and have suffered a spinal fracture and I'm happy to lug it around. Specs briefly are 2 x 12" ceramic speakers 600 watts Piezo switchable tweeter with 2 levels of attenuation 57.8 x 60 x 47 cm https://www.markbass.it/product/mb58r-122-p-4/ Tone is very Markbass, i.e. effective. Collection or meet up only. I'm in Kendal, Lake District, NW England.

  4. I made space on my pedal board for an HX One. It replaced my Xotic Bass RC Booster and the pedal I thought I'd never sell, my Creation Audio Grizzy. So I now have 5 pedals sitting around doing not a lot and a hankering for a Stomp Creation Audio Grizzly. £140 Flattley Poison Ivy Fuzz £90 Black Country Custom The 85 Octave £85 Xotic Bass RC Booster £65 TC Electronics 3rd Dimension Chorus £25 All in top condition. In fact the 85, 3rd Dim and Flattely are like new. All boxed except for the Grizzly (I will keep looking). Velcro'd as per the photos. Peter

  5. As new still sealed in packs, 3 sets available £11.50 per set including postage. I have been trying various brands of strings on a number of basses, whilst these are very nice I'm going to Dunlop's for my fretted Warwick. To my ears the Eden's seem similar to Rotosounds, maybe not quite as 'zingy' initially.

  6. Kent Armstrong Bass Humbucker for a 4 string bass. Circa 1990 when I purchased new and still in excellent condition and virtually unmarked. It's been in two of my basses over the last 35 years and sounds great. I think these were handmade, add £7.00 for UK insured postage.

  7. Bill, If you did drive that fast the New Hampshire cops would be on you pretty quick I think.
  8. Because of the stupid old way instruments are sold, with an official price and a street price, which is often 30% less and is the price you really pay.
  9. Further price deduction - now £799
  10. Hi @lksmks792, I'm in Belgium too, in the deep South part, close to Luxemburg. You could come home if you are in the neighbourhood and try my Casio GP-510 BP, which is an hybrid digital (upright) piano with 3 of the main piano brands sampled: Bechstein, who provided the grand piano mechanism, Steinway and Bösendorfer. I also own a Korg B2 (weighted keys) connected through my computer, to the VSL Synchron Steinway D standalone software and it sounds amazing through my calibrated monitors and headphones too. If you are in the North part, Maene in Gent, and many other places, is the place to go to buy a piano (second hand or new, acoustic, hybrid or fully digital): https://www.maene.be/en_BE/ If you want to stick to an acoustic upright, have a look at the Zimmermann brand, owned by Bechstein: https://www.bechstein.com/fr/pianos-droits-et-a-queue/zimmermann/#zimmermann Check the ads there if you're in the North part, and you'll be amazed by the number of acoustic pianos almost given for free: https://www.2dehands.be/l/muziek-en-instrumenten/piano-s/#Language:all-languages|sortBy:PRICE|sortOrder:INCREASING Or here, if you are in the South part: https://www.2ememain.be/l/musique-instruments/pianos/#Language:all-languages|sortBy:PRICE|sortOrder:INCREASING You'll certainly get the same ads on both as it's the same website in the two of the three main Belgian languages.
  11. Problem is banning or censoring them just gives them a platform. I’d never heard of them before the recent controversy. Now I have. Still not listed to them. When interviewed they seem like confused puppies.
  12. Just been watching Franz Ferdinand at Glasto - is it just me or is the snare sound really off? Is it phasing issues? https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m002f3lw/glastonbury-franz-ferdinand-audacious?seriesId=b007r6vx-manual-3-must_watch_tracks
  13. Why is everything "discounted" on the Peavey site all the time? List Price: $4,499 Our Price $3,499 It's not like that's a retailer having a clearout, that's the manufacturer's website for a new-to-market product. What utter nonsensical crud on so many levels. Hats off to Peavey for their choice of builder, though. But I would say that based on who it is.
  14. Fantastic sets from Bob Vylan & Nova Twins.
  15. I had a couple of Grind BXPs, a 5 and a 6. I tried a US Cirrus 5 string and decided I preferred the neck on the Grind. I'm sure the original Cirrus was quite a bit cheaper than the reboot version.
  16. Buy a BDDI if you want that tone? None of the other preamps here are trying to be an SVT.
  17. I caught 1 number and liked that a lot
  18. Hmmm... I didn't know I was complaining! LOL
  19. Don't have a TV or license to watch iPlayer, but was wondering if Georgia South was playing her red Westone (I admire her taste in bass guitars).
  20. Same band that also openly praise Hamas and Hezbollah at their gigs, and tell their audiences things like "the only good Tory is a dead Tory, kill your local MP". Only to then be called out on it in light of things like the murders of Jo Cox and David Amess, and issue a half arsed apology that just screams "we're not sorry for what we did, only sorry we got caught". No, I'm not a fan. They seem like they all need a slap.
  21. Yup, their name is a reference to the IRA's use of a shotgun blast to the knees of suspected informers or rival drug gangs.
  22. Hi! I use Dunlop Super Bright 40-120 Light Nickel Bass Strings (DBSBN40120) I’m not really sure how much difference string through makes, but I think I prefer it (it might get just be all in my head).
  23. Thanks for your offer! But unfortunately I am not interested in Noguera at all.
  24. TC BQ250 bass amp. Only used for a few hours of use whilst I was getting another amp fixed. Has a small mark on top whilst it was clamped into a TC combo cab (see other listing). Prefer collection but could post it necessary.
  25. Just as a thought: does the amp have an Effects Loop? If it does then try linking the Send and Return jacks with a signal cable. The normalizing contacts on these jacks are notorious for corrosion because they are not used that often. When this happens they fail to pass a signal through the loop.
  26. Ah, that kind of kneecap then. Not for me either if so.
