  3. As per another thread, im getting a bit of interference from my Lektao WS90's under certain conditions, or rather they are causing interference. So ive been looking at the two above. I know a lot of you use the Nux, but im not interested in that as I dont want to carry a case around. I prefer to just throw the thing in my gig bag. Im also not sue I like the auto off feature. Let's not discuss that as im. 100% not going to get those. From the spec I understand the Fender has up to 8 hours from a 2 hour charge, and the Xvive 5. Either is longer than I'll really need, but unto 8 will get me through a rehearsal and a few night home practice. The fender has a quoted lower latency than the others. Any thoughts on either of those mentioned? im leaning towards the Fender, but its a bit more expensive.
  4. Brice Springsteen for the megafan. Concert tours in Europe since 1981. Signed copy. REP £24.99, yours for £12, posted UK.
  5. His latest posthumous release is a double CD and DVD presentation from the Swiss Baloise Festival in 2008. Highlight is Al Kooper’s I Love You More Than Youll Ever Know b Retails at over £20. This is sealed and unplayed, £12 posted UK seems reasonable.
  6. The better the gear, the more noticeable the clash between keys left hand and bass will be. Our keys player recently upgraded his backline to a quality powered PA cab and we suddenly had problems. His old amp simply wasn't capable of reproducing the low end loudly or clearly enough for the issue to be noticed.
  7. Cool and very nice looking room. Daryl
  8. Not too far from where I was made either!! 😅
  9. She has got a 5 but generally just uses her Fender MIM Jazz 4 string. This issue has become more noticeable since they've started playing bigger stages with big subs in the PA. Its not an issue in smaller venues, the bass cuts through nicely there.
  10. Oft..... maybe I should give him a tinkle then? Great recommendation thank you Rob.. 🙂
  11. BTW, all the pots on your amp and bass should be cleaned once in a while. Otherwise dust inside can scratch the resistive track and once you do that replacement is the only option.
  12. Intrigued to know what else you're using the stomp for! 🤔 Sounds like something is plugged in the wrong input? Could you post some photos of your setup to help diagnose?
  13. Baby It's You — Smith
  14. Afternoon I've been working my way through TalkingBass's course on Technique Building. It's really good and is improving my knowledge of scales and the neck notes I'm wondering if there is something similar but for rhythm. These are designed to be played in 16th notes or triplets and that's all good but I would like something complementary
  15. Andy, I had a '73 Jazz bridge pickup rewound by Ash at Oil City Pickups. He has a spool of the exact vintage wire and recreated the pickup as it was originally manufactured, right down to the nitro lacquer afterwards. He turned it round in less than a week and it cost very little to do. Just sayin.... Rob
  16. Well, finally got the bass back after a refret, plays nice.. however.... one part of the pickup needs a rewind, I'm getting zero output and a dodgy earth from it, so off to Kent Armstrong it goes...
  17. Had a few Artec pres in basses, currently have an SE2A on my fretless and an SE3P in my Zoot. They sound very good to me, prefer them to a lot of posher preamps. Centre frequencies are very musical, you'll need to shield the cavity properly as they can be noisy if that isn't done, once it's shielded they're silent however.
  18. I bought this to use as a backup whilst my old amp was being serviced. It’s a superb little unit. Bought new recently and rehearsed and gigged a couple of times since. Works as it ought to and is very powerful. I used it through my 8ohm cab and it was loud and punchy. It’s got some cosmetic surface scratches on the top but nothing terrible. Boxed with mains lead and manual (I think). I can post in the UK. PayPal please.

  19. Fane Sovereign 8” Speaker 225 watts 8 ohms. Excellent driver fitted briefly whilst my Yamaha speaker was being reconed. Great for bass or PA use. Boxed. Postage possible for an extra £5 - UK only.
  20. I bought the amps and cabs as one lot from @la bam of this parish as the basis for building things up - I didn't intentionally go for H & K. They're weighty beasts, but they do sound awesome. And putting the tops on the subs nicely deprives drunken punters of drinks tables 🙂
  21. Thanks. Will try and feed back
  22. Of all the things I don’t need but I really want 🤣 My favourite combo! I think these were about £1600 when new? Weigh about 72lb? I could have sworn mine went to 700w at 2Ohm? Lots of question marks, it’s been a while! Fabulous piece of kit. At £200 you could probably never need another bass rig. GLWTS.
  23. I actually prefer a direct sale, but it always depends. Maybe you can send me your ideas via pm.
  24. And so it shall be written, and so it shall be done... Now it has a kill switch. Right, top work everyone, let's get it back together and have a cup of tea... Only kidding, now I can't put off routing any longer...
  25. I've seen a lot of well attended local gigs the last month or so.
  26. I can lend you a butter knife and you could go at it like Jaco, if you like.
