  9. You know you could be banned for having showed this... Nice work, that said and I like some Béla Fleck from time to time. 😉
  10. Waterboys at York Barbican in Thursday who were great. First time I'd seen them and rockier than I was expecting, not a fiddle, whistle or the like in evidence. They showcased the new "Life, Death And Dennis Hopper" album which I enjoyed, but those with me were a bit agnostic about, at best. Sound was a bit weird balance wise, with some instrumentation not as audible as others eg Hammond vs piano. Bass player was very "on it" (Aongus Ralston) using what looked like a Wilcock Mullarkey for the first section, before swapping to a P bass.
  11. The series before was called the American Special, wasn't it? There will probably be another similar product with a couple of small improvements and something taken away (my bet is truss rod above the nut and skunk stripe on the back of the neck, like the cheaper Mexican instruments and the newest American Ultra II.)
  12. Sounds very promising, except with the Full Circle... The electric bass sounds good too through this amp. Following this with great interest.
  13. You might already be aware of the 'blues note', which is a note that guitarists often use in their riffs and solos. If you use this 'blues note' in your bass lines or licks, your lines will sound more authentically bluesy. But did you know that this 'blues note' is part of the Blues Scale and that there are in fact two blues notes, the flat 5th and the flat 3rd? The blues scales are based off of the pentatonic scales and contain one extra note. It's important to have these scales under your fingers if you want to have creative freedom with your Blues bass playing. I’ve made a video lesson explaining how to turn pentatonic scales into blues scales. You can also download a free PDF containing handy fret diagrams of the various scales - link in video description. Enjoy!
  14. Well, I'll let yous know how I get on this time around - got a few sets on order, awaiting delivery...

  17. I don’t think they’re allowed to say ‘made in USA’ any more unless every component is made in USA. But yes, probably not much craftsman carving going on.
  18. £160 - Posted - Darkglass Vintage Deluxe- used but good condition. Works perfectly but no longer needed. Free postage
  19. Thanks fabbabass! Body is a standard P bass size and a fair bit smaller than the original Jazz bass body that it was attached to tbh- maybe the pics don't show that. I agree - the neck is beautiful and that's why I wanted to build my own bass around it... It's a bass for someone out there....

  21. Hi!!! 19mm Spacing!!!!
  22. Last time I bought some strings (not amazon, ebay), i put the number in and it said they were already registered.
  23. 5 string set of 3/8" Hipshot Licensed Ultralite tuners in shiny Chrome, all in great condition 4+1 configuration for a right handed bass. Have been in my parts drawer for a while and i've not got around to using them. Can provide more photos if required. Not sure what postage would be until packed ready to go, but I'm sure we can work something out.
  24. Today
  25. Not so - last time I took this deal, the points codes worked (and no, I didn't return the strings).
  26. Guessing people buy them, add the players points then return, rinse then repeat.
  27. Sold this Hammers fan a guitar stand. All very efficient and appreciated! Recommended Basschatter.
