    You'd think. But that's the whole problem with LLMs... they tell you what you want to hear, so why proofread their output? People think they are search engines, and they absolutely are not.

    Bought these recently here and they’re great but I decided to go with my preferred choice on a bass I’ve modded for a particular situation. In my trial with them I found them to be quiet and even with low output as described (alnico standard) but much better than stock pickups. In other words...pro improvement. My East UK active preamp has gain adjustment so that didn’t pose a problem. I thought they were vintage voiced (60’s) but even slap style sounded pleasant. I preferred the more hi-fi sound of the EMG for the stuff I’m doing (plus I have more vintage styled instruments available). I also did the series/parallel switching with them and that was great (versatile option) but you can choose either as both ways sounded great. Does an octave below and/or above. Also has an independent boost effect. Blurb here: Octavius tri-tone generator has 4 controls LO OCT, HIGH OCT, MASTER MIX and BOOST. LO OCT knob lets you set the volume of the lower octave signal produced by the pedal. HIGH OCT knob controls the volume of the higher octave signal produced by the pedal. The balance between the levels of these 2 knobs is what creates your particular octave-divided sound. Experiment with your mix, and you’ll be amazed at the variety of effects you’ll get. MASTER MIX knob lets you set the overall volume of your low and high octaves compared to your direct signal. Use the BOOST knob to control the output of your octave-divided sound. The boost function lets you dial in a solo level, whether the overdrive circuit is activated or not.

    I use several basses, but all of them are passive, just with hot pickups. They're fine, if that's what you're asking. There's no problem with grounding.

    The pickup is wide enough for even 6 strings. They have bar magnets that are 75 mm wide

    I agree that the Providence sounds simply great. I also have an EHX Bass Clone and a Boss CEB3. The Boss CEB3 is noiseless, but it's a digital chorus, and they usually have a very low noise floor. My EHX Bass Clone is noisy when it comes to noise, so I was looking for an analog chorus that would be much quieter. The Providence ABC is noiseless in the first switch position, but in the second switch position it produces more noise than the EXC Bass Clone. In my opinion, the third one is unusable because the noise is noticeable in recordings. I also tested it with other pedals before it, with no difference. I've finally started to understand that the noise filter is tuned in the first position of the delay clock, but if the pedal also has options with other increased delays, there is no way to shift the filter and extend it to longer delay times. When starting this post, I was inspired by several YouTube videos of this chorus, where no hissing can be heard in the second and third positions. That's why I thought there might be something wrong with the one I just bought. But perhaps the sound in those videos was post-processed?     Many years ago I used to work in maintenance for a company that made very high end manufacturing equipment for the chip industry. We'd occasionally get the electrical racks sprayed with water or coolant if we had a quick disconnect that didn't.. well.. disconnect...and our standard recovery was to rinse them down with ipa ( isopropyl alcohol not India Pale Ale ) and let them dry out thoroughly. It always seemed to work.
