  2. Totally agree. I always thought a p bass neck would be too big but I just adjusted, like with fan frets, using my left hand more, driving LHD etc
  3. This was on my board for a few years, never let me down but just fancied a change so I’ve got a boss chorus on the board now. The toneprint options make it a pretty versatile pedal, found myself mostly using the Duff McKagan toneprint. No original box for this unfortunately but will be packaged securely. Price includes postage in the UK, cheers
  4. Got this in a trade on here recently but it’s just not got much use. Between the green Russian and the grey stache that I own I have my fuzz needs covered. This one is two big muffs running in parallel, one of them has a standard tone control, the other has a mid boost/cut. Certainly a lot to play with and a lot of sounds to be gotten out of it! No original box with this but will be packaged securely. Price will include postage in the UK

  5. I know. It was a joke about their slightly odd scale length, not being a 'standard' 34". Hence the laughing emoji after.
  6. I was expecting that they were going to do that when they introduced the MIDI implementation and the 5 button Darkglass foot switch. It feels like a really natural progression. Then you could use the foot switches on the Anagram for patch navigation and turning the tuner on, and the 5 button for scenes. Ideally, what I want is a bigger Anagram with more foot switches and an integrated expression pedal with a toe switch so I don't need an external MIDI device to get the best out of it. Three foot switches is too limiting for me.

  12. THICKER STRINGS - anyone tried? I got this bass few weeks ago the space 4 to put thicker strings on it to drop B - it won't fit 135 strings anyone no where to buy a modified nut so can fit these what would be the best easy to do this what's the thickest strings people have put in to this
  13. We're doing an outside 12:00-2:30 full Maple Road gig this Saturday at The Harley Motor. We'll be leaving at 9:00. That's very early for me. This one will be a little different Usually we do our acoustic offering inside 5:00-7:30. I'm hoping there's some type of special event to ensure a decent crowd. I hope we can keep our streak going. We've had 3 really good gigs in a row. Daryl

  15. Hi Rob, as you've seen, I've only gone and bought one, ain't I? It was your approval and @agedhorse being involved - I've seen his stuff on Talkbass and he knows his pigeons - what swung it for me in the end. Looks like I be selling some amps an' ting soon. At this money, it's gonna have to be better sounding than both the Demeter pre + power amp rig AND the Genz Benz Shuttle or back to Thomann it goes. Spec looks perfect for my needs , though, and I dig the cosmetics. I'll keep you informed. Got me a gig in Ulverston tomorrow so it's gon' make its debut there. We'll see...
  16. There IS a USB power source on the back of the amp, you can use it with whatever converter cable you wish to get the necessary voltage and polarity. This feature is on the D-350, WD, TT and BD-800 models. This feature and application is also described in the owner’s manual
  17. Let us know what you think Shug. I'm just home from my gig in Manchester tonight where I used a GK Legacy 800 with a BF cab. I've stopped using my old RBs for these gigs as the DI isn't great, and the Legacy 800 is just so convenient and sounds good. I still use the old RBs for backline only gigs though, and they are hard to beat. I would love to do a side by side of my GK Legacy 800 and your Mesa 800D sometime. All this talk of fur and valves.... Rob

  19. I bagged the last one from Thomann - ordered early hours of Saturday morning - and it arrives tomorrow, just in time for the weekend's shows. I'm trying to be cool about it but, well, y'know...
  20. Hey Roger, I would have to investigate what prepaid duty options are available with the courier given the tariff situation. @thevintagebassist have you had any thoughts about options e.g. wooden fingerboard?
  21. I'm keen to check one of these out, for sure, but I wish you'd asked ME what features to include as then this otherwise perfect looking amp would have at least one 9 volt output on the back to power a tuner ( or other) pedal. That's got to be a good, useful and relatively cheap feature, surely? I don't want you to feel too bad about it, though; I've been playing for 50 years, owned scores of amps and only just thought of it myself... Next time, maybe...
  22. Nine Inch Rails, the well-known model railway company.
  23. No, it wasn't me. I didn't need the cab either, and I think I want to try one first. It's not like I'm short of amps at the moment, there are six here right now, although one of them is sick.
  24. I forgot to mention the other potential failure mode, in case anything similar happens again - plugging the receiver into the bass and the transmitter into the amp tends also to produce silence.
  25. Where do you have the master volume control set?
