Owned from new for around 12yrs, I bought this from Thomann and had it set up for Rockabilly. It definitely feels a step up from the entry level basses and I have used it live a lot. Most of its life has been more of feature in my living room though. The last couple of years I have been coming to terms with the fact that I need to sell it. Space is at a premium, it rarely gets used and I am of an age where the EUB seems the easier option. The specs are here Thomann link if anyone is interested. I added a pickup which has been useful - a David Gage Realist. People often call it a copper head. They’re industry standard and normally about £120 used. Mine is included with the bass at no extra cost to you. There is a tatty (by my high standards) gig bag and the strings are currently Gut-A-Like vintage ones Gut A Like strings You’ll see I added a few stickers. These should be fairly easy to remove. I’m happy to do it, or I can leave it. Equally I am happy to add more pictures. It’s currently lent against the wall in my place in Hungerford, where I am Sunday to Thursday evenings. Postage looks too hard to do so it would be a collection. I have gotten it in a Peugeot 107 before - not comfortably, so perhaps don’t bring the family if collecting!

These are great and I am only selling as I just upgraded to the BCB-90x. It’s set up with the daisy chain all in place. You just need to add your pedals and patch cables. Cut for six Boss sized pedals. Price includes UK postage. Check my feedback and buy with confidence. PayPal or bank transfer preferred.

I’m a big fan of Boss pedals and have just re-done my board. I went a bit mad recently and have a fair few that are surplus to my requirements. All are boxed (initially the OC3 was listed as unboxed but I have since found the box) and only the super overdrive has Velcro on the bottom. I would grade these as at least 9/10 in terms of condition. Prices include UK postage. Boss Octave OC3 - £85 Boss Tuner TU3 - £70 Boss Super Chorus CH1 - £75 Boss Super Overdrive - £60 Boss Bass Overdrive - £80 I looked around online and believe these are priced to sell. Check my feedback thread and buy with confidence. PayPal or balance transfer preferred.

A small but powerful modular system I put together based around a Moog Mother 32 synth and sequencer. I added a Doepfer LFO A145 for increased modulation possibilities. I also added an Erica PICO DSP for onboard effects such as delays, chorus and reverb. There is a Doepfer mixer A138 and Behringer CP1A power supply. The modules are housed in an official Moog 104 HP case with some rack space left for more modules. The unit is unboxed and comes with mains adapter, patch leads as pictured. There is no midi lead included. The units are in very good condition and the Moog unit was recently serviced. The case has a cosmetic scratch at the front as pictured. I can include some extra rack screws. It’s compact but quite heavy as there is a lot packed into a small space! It is a great introduction to modular with plenty of patch options for experimentation. The Mother 32 has an onboard sequencer and small rubber ‘keys’ so it can be used standalone using headphones or an amp. It can be triggered by external midi or cv controllers. Selling as a complete unit. Pickup preferred but I can post UK only at buyer’s cost. It’s worth looking at reviews of each module to get a better perspective of what they can do. I’ll list on here to see if there is any interest before trying the usual….. One last try before I withdraw and sell the modules individually - price reduced.

Regarding paying £300 to get the Steve Wilson remix of Farewell To Kings, I can help you out with that. I've got a budget-friendly alternative. The Steve Wilson remix is supposed to be "an immersive experience with more clarity and an in-your-face drum sound". Well, I remember getting exactly the same effect listening to that album forty-odd years ago by lighting some joss sticks, drinking a couple of pints of snakebite made with Carlsberg Special Brew, turning the music up loud, putting the speakers on the floor either side of my head and laying there smoking Embassy Regal cigarettes while the ceiling spun. Remix that Steve Wilson. We knew how to make our own entertainment in those days.

Is suspected that may be the case - so can we define an "Epic" fail as spending a five figure amount on gear, and thus one above a T1 fail?

In one of my old bands, we'd flyer the audience post gig and on these offer ridiculous things for the next gig: 'The best day of your life could be coming! Be one of our crew for a day! Experience the load in! The soundcheck! The interminable sitting around! The gig! The breakdown! The load out! Have a beer and a burger with us pre-gig!' Amazingly, a few people actually took us up on the offer. Complete strangers. It certainly made gigging easier having someone doing the heavy lifting. -

Mmmm… it’s easy to look as bands having large egos due to them getting huge and needing extra assistance so to speak. Whether we have time for bigger bands or not doesn’t really come into it . Bigger bands need roadies for example . That gives roadies paid work . This sometimes leads to permanent friendships with the band. Plus the techs are often friends of the various members of the bands ..looking after their mates as such . Plus the bands see other bands and copy them ,and their management advises them perhaps 🤔 -
I found line level out of HX stomp and pad on gave me a really wide pallet of tones, cleaner on the low range and then more headroom before clipping on the high range. I was just playing with more saturated sounds influenced by @fretmeister's post - running the omnicomp into it. I built a clone of Barbershop, and now have a similar SSBS mini clone - and run them both, I think it's a different feel of drive.

Wow! The prices are absolutely bonkers ! I salute those of you who persevered and proceeded with your purchase 👏👏 From the London O2 perspective I have mixed feelings about that venue . The £5 paid to see Metallica there was a total bargain ! The actual seat was possibly the most scared I’ve ever been at a gig ! We were within touching distance of the ceiling where the beach balls were released for the whisky encore! The hardwired gig by Metallica at the same venue although not quite as high, was just as scary ! Getting to and from the bar was a nightmare, and if I sneezed it would have been death! Then Hetfield says “ we’ve broken a record here for the most people at this venue ! “ Obviously by treating paying customers as cattle ! Not the fault of Metallica ,but by the owners of the venue taking greed over safety and enjoyment! Too many people ! The venue is massive ,and the walk into the area where your ticket allocation is is like an expedition imho! Fwiw the best gigs I saw there were Rammstein , Rush 1st gig there and both Metallica gigs on the Death Magnetic Tour ! I do like the atmosphere outside the indigo and the bars in that area. Things may have changed since the clockwork angels gig there ! -

You kinda just did 😉 It's only a few years old, MIM. I got it from a member here who already had the black pick guard on it. I added a drop D tuner and ashtrays later then removed the ashtrays and just put cream coloured covers on the pups. Still original pickups. I want to do something a bit mad with this like put an MM pickup in the P sweet spot or add another P pickup at the bridge.
