  1. Past hour
  2. Cheers! Yeah, if I were still gigging regularly, I'd be clinging on to this amp. But I'll be keeping my Little B*ast*rd 30 for recording - probably my joint favourite with the CTM-100! - so I can't really justify keeping both of them.
  3. MARSHALL BB-2 Not to be confused with the original Bluesbreaker pedal, which was essentially a preamp-in-a-box - this is a dedicated, dual-mode overdrive pedal. "Boost" mode is a transparent-sounding clean boost, designed to push the front end of your amp harder, while "Blues" mode gives a much more shaped (and saturated!) tone, reminiscent of the original Bluesbreaker amps being dimed. I bought this pedal back in something like 2010. It was my main distortion effect for a while, and did a handful of gigs with me, but as I've experimented with new effects and different amps, I find myself using it less and less. I still have the original box and user's manual, which are a little worn in places (see pictures); the pedal itself is in excellent condition. Only one thing: the controls originally had black position indicators painted on them, which have mostly rubbed off over the years. Up to you whether you leave them as is, or paint some new ones on! Price includes postage to mainland UK. If you'd like it sent to a different country, drop me a PM. Open to sensible offers!
  4. They sound quite nice as well. I've had zero chance to wind them up due to various things, it'll probably be the weekend before I can try.
  5. I am suspicious that the US Specials will go up, and the mids will get all the really heavy wood that nobody wants, especially as the Specials are now close to the same weight as the old versions. So much for the new "lightweight redesign" they started with.
  6. Thank you, yes it's a lovely bass
  7. Heights are definitely a different sport for passives rather than EMG. EMG have very low magnet pull and the recommendation is to get them as close to the string as possible - mine are barely 3mm. Just enough clearance so when playing something on the 22nd fret the string doesn't foul on the pickup. That definitely doesn't work with magnets in passive pickups.
  8. Take A Long Line - The Angels
  9. I don't think my guy wants to do it which is why I'm prepared to have a go myself. The bass is pretty worthless as it is
  10. Great video but it's a thru neck
  11. Thank you. Very entertaining analogy and a great read !😂
  12. They look excellent Rob.
  13. Will sell for £349 without the spare Tung Sol tube if desired. So just the Tung Sol in the pedal and the Sovtek.
  14. Bump! Also listed on Reverb with a bunch of watchers.
  15. Very nice indeed! - I have added it to the playlist
  16. blue lines - massive attack
  17. White Lines - Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five
  18. cheers Mark , it’s lovely just needs playing
  19. Stuck in the Middle with You - Stealers Wheel
  20. Thank you so much, we are always looking to improve and feedback (both positive and negative) helps us do that
  21. escape road Fender does sell replacement parts under their own brand, but a lot of listings on eBay are aftermarket or third-party. Unless the listing specifically says “Fender OEM” or shows part numbers that match Fender’s official spec, it might not be an actual Fender part. If you want verified Fender components, check Fender’s official parts lookup or ask a dealer to confirm the exact part you need.
  22. As a pick player I'd suggest Bobby Vega
  23. Have you tried creating a Spotify playlist that highlights lesser-known artists?
  24. Today
  25. Hmmm first of all @Woodinblack is right, I've left my RCF M18 on overnight and for several days without a problem and you should be able to do that as well. This is not something that is going to go away and it willl happen at a gig sooner or later. I don't know where you bought it but I'd be asking for help and a possible loan of a repacement until it's fixed. You can't risk your band's reputation with dodgy gear, losing a regular venue is potentially worth more than the cost of a new mixer. Heat often affects components and soldered joints due to expansion. Many/most intermittent faults are affected by heat so turning the mixer off will probably give you a few more minutes before the fault cuts in. There's nothing very surprising going on here, and it was a good shout to try it, but personally I wouldn't take that mixer to a gig. Imagine if you'd just managed to fill the dance floor and had the audience fully engaged and then cleared the dance floor for 10 mins half an hour before the gig was due to finish anyway. Do you have any mates who could lend you a mixer? At a pinch I have a backup M18 I hope to never use. You can pm me if that would help
